Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
It was a red unfortunately but we’re still second. I have my parking booked for Tuesday and I ain’t driving back without a win.
Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
The red is a yellow without the player rolling on the ground and 30,000 home fans yelling for a red.

Samaritans Score Prediction -Burton (h)
There was a lot of optimism going in to the Birmingham game resulting in a low scoring week. @Chris was the highest ranking competitor to predict a home win and he moves to just seven points off the lead. That lead though is now shared by @Wendoverman and @bargepole . Its looking like a close fight to the line.
A welcome to @fromRuisliptoWycombe added to the table. He and @ShitcagoWWFC (shaded blue) are fighting out the late starters title but plenty of time for other new entrants to join.
Its Burton at home on Tuesday -not the highest profile match perhaps but really could do with a win. Predictions here please.

Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
Thought we were very poor first half and so disappointed. As the clock struck 45 mins thought we got away with it without too much punishment ready for a right go in the second half.
Then the sending off. Really sorry but bollocks is that a red. Never. Ever. It is a yellow. It is reckless tackle. It is not dangerous. He caught him on the ankle ie on the ground. It was not a clear goal scoring chance. I have seen several views suggesting it was a red. Under the letter of the law it simply wasn’t, despite being a daft challenge to make. Really hope we appeal.
after that so proud of the lads. Thought would get thumped but they were magnificent second half. And we might have stumbled on a formula as three at the back just might work if the wing backs are attacking minded and midfielders not too defensive.
also good to chat to a couple of 20 something Birmingham fans on train home who could not be more complementary about us as a club and how we played today.
Re: Other Football
Fantastic logic that
"Referees don't enforce the 6 second rule, so to speed things up we'll make it 8 seconds instead".

Maybe this one - Andronicos Georgiou - who made no appearances for Wycombe, one of 10 clubs the 25 year old has been at over the past seven or eight years. Going nowhere fast!
Have you seen him actually playing?!

Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
Sadly I think he’s gone after getting dog’s abuse for showing basic human decency. We’ve lost quite a few of the good ones recently.

Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
Thankfully the majority of posters have taken a level headed view of today’s game but there are a couple who should perhaps calm down before using words like cowards and disgrace. Birmingham have gone 18 games without defeat, have lost only two games all season and are undefeated in 17 home games in which they have conceded just 7 goals. I agree that we started too timidly but going down to ten men was a major setback against such a good team and we defended exceptionally well in the second half. I was disappointed with our first half display but take encouragement from the second half. We’re still second and haven’t lost a single game by more than one goal.
