Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
I’m going to put in a word for Taf here. We’ve been spoilt with Joe Low and Caleb Taylor this season but Taf has been a fantastic defender for us since our Championship season.
He is calmness personified, committed and intelligent. He may not have the pace of other centre backs, but like JJ he makes up for it with his positioning and timing.
Injuries have been his Achilles heel meaning he doesn’t usually have a run of more than 7 or 8 games without a strain or issue of some kind, but when he come back in the team he’s straight back on it.
He’ll have a positive impact on your dressing room and can help pull you out the mire.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
I don’t think anyone doubts Taff’s ability. That’s part of the frustration.
Re: Rumour Mill
That is gutting. We are missing him tremendously. It feels like most of our danger is from the right side now.
Mind you, still no idea why we don't try starting Fred on the left, GMac on the right. Maybe too unfair to the opposition?
Re: Not Football
Tyrrell Hatton
Gets asked about the Liverpool game but says he watched the Wycombe highlights!

Re: New Manager Vote
Perhaps a classic case of Rice getting what he wished for, at a time he did not wish for it. If you are going to strand someone on an island, don't be upset if the rescue boat comes unexpectedly!
Re: New Manager Vote
@kipper is consistently the best informed ITK posting on here so he can probably join up the dots.
Re: Squad strength - January 2025 transfer window
To be fair our data-appointed Danish defenders first contribution (after initially air-kicking the ball) was to lump it forward as far as he could into the empty space behind where a right back would be.
Absolutely the right thing to do with a minute or so of injury time left and pleasingly satisfying to see.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Gavin Grant had a cold, didnt he?
I’m not saying Joes got a bit murdery, but I never trust the illness excuse!
Re: New Manager Vote
I've had this chat before with people, I genuinely believe some managers out of work get a couple of people to stick a bet on them and have the odds tumbling.
It gets your name out in the press and people talking about you online etc. Not saying you'll get a job out of it but take leam Richardson for example would his name even be discussed for the role only for the fact he's been backed into favouritism?
Probably only cost about £100 aswell.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
A month contract. Signing for the rest of the season. 👍
