Re: Anders Hagelskjær signs
Anders has been a regular and played European football apparently. If Joe goes surely it will be him and Bradley. I find it hard to believe that being second in the table, we are signing experienced players for next season.
Re: Aaron Morley
It does feel mad to me that we haven't made any permanent bid at all. Implies that the asking price must be way too high.
Re: Anders Hagelskjær signs
“Squad no. 45, the international dialling code for Denmark”. Good knowledge, Phil.
Re: Berks & Bucks Senior Cup 2024-25
The goals from Beaconsfield's two B & B games this season.
Re: Aaron Morley
Some decent work from Rotherham to re-schedule to still get a Saturday game in.
Re: Other Football
Spare a thought for Walton Rovers (Bristol/Bath) way of the Western League (step 9). It’s been a tough season with so far zero points. Today a long trip to Saltash in Cornwall. Some confusion whether final score was 12-1 or 13-1. Early in second half one of their lads lost his head, dreadful tackle then a head butt earning two red cards before storming straight to his car and driving home. Which would have been pretty bad even if he hadn’t driven four of the rest of his team down. Cold wet hammered and stranded 100 miles from home. Welcome to non league footie.
Re: Other Football
I've seen two players born in 2008 play today. I feel physically sick.
Re: Match Day Thread: Poemsmouth
Without our lovely undersoil it would have been quite slippy
Limiting young Gideon who really is quite nippy
He might not be the strongest when playing at the back
But he looks pretty lethal when moving to attack
And if you need a hard man to stop the opposition
Just call on Sonny Bradley to take up that position
His friends all say he’s lovely, the epitome of class
Try telling that to forwards as he knocks them on their ass
And finally there’s Kone, a lad of twenty one
Loving every moment whilst scoring just for fun
He’s getting us promoted, he’s taking Wycombe up
And just to make it sweeter, we’ll win the fucking cup!
Re: Other Football
I thought it was high but clearly not.
Going back to our illustrious 2000/2001 FA Cup season we have had the following number of teams knocked out at Rd 3 from the Championship.
10 - Twice
11 - Twice
12 - Four
13 - Five
14 - Nine
15 - Once
18! - Once
It would seem 12-14 is the average. Looking at the games to play it will probably be 14 this season.
Re: Match Day Thread: Portsmouth (FA CUP)
I met two friendly Scottish lads in the Falcon post game. One Hearts one Rangers. Furiously debating uefa coefficients
