Re: New Manager Vote
I don’t like Andy Woodman but I can’t remember why. I need to keep better track of my grudges.
Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw
I’ve not seen a man as fuming at a ref than you that day in 1999!
Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw
It’s funny isn’t it. For some it’s memories of Hakan Heyrettin’s 80-yarder, for “others” it’s David Laws.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Yes. CMS scored a last minute winner:

Some great examples of Ainsworth football in those highlights. The long ball for Bayo to pluck out of the air for Fred's goal. CMS not giving up on a lost cause. A comeback from 2-0 down. A last minute winner with 10 men. Truly the glory days
Re: Other Football
Alternative football on TV this evening
Brechin City v Hearts, Scottish FA Cup 4th Round, 7:45pm.
BBC Scotland, iPlayer, BBC Sport.
Fifth tier City, or the Hedgemen, head the Highland League with only one defeat. Hearts are second from bottom in the Premiership. Glebe Park has a grass pitch and is best known for the tall, neatly trimmed hedge on two sides of the ground, part of the boundary perimeter. See the eight minute film "The Glebe", about the ground.
Re: Rumour Mill
Perhaps there is some parallel universe in which we don’t intend to offer him a new deal, but I suspect that in this universe he has already been offered one.
Re: Did I miss RTB this week?
Two website interviews a slightly uncomfortable Phil did this week carefully managed not to mention MB at all...Neither did Sam Grace though Captain Jack was very effusive about the gaffer.
Seems 'A busy week...' is the media team euphemism for 'Matt's gone...what the f... just happened?'
(Other opinions and interpretations of body language and understandable business and media practices are available...)
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
As said before, I am convinced Gape would have been in line for the captaincy after JJ had things worked out for him to stay. A brilliant lad, and I would be ecstatic if he went to Salop and played well.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
By the way, Blackman had a great game last night, great to see a keeper come and collect the ball in the air. He was a great young prospect when he was with us and he looks to be loving life under Gaz after quite a chequered career to date.
