Re: Attendance Prediction - Birmingham City (a) - Sat 1st March '25 - Match 33 in 24/25
That’s the one.
Gallen was celebrating like he’d won the Champions League after he won a penalty. At this point McSporran was 50 yards away and Senda took umbrage to Gallens celebrations. A large scuffle took place with McSporran turning up late as he was so far away.
Senda was in the middle of everything and the ref immediately sent him off, though he’d actually sent McSporran off by mistake.
He then conferred with his linesman and sent Senda off to. QPR then missed the penalty. This all happened just before half time with the scores 1-1.
Superb atmosphere in the away end and we managed to score twice in the second half with only 9 against 12.
Unfortunately QPR scored 3 in the second half and we lost 4-3.
Epic away day.

Re: Dodds Quits
Nice variation on the old Gasroom classic where you lead with “<Player X> signs…” in the post title, only to hit the unwitting reader with the switcheroo of said player having signed for someone else.
Hilarity ensues.
Doesn’t seem to happen so much in these days of Georgio-Kazakhstani squillions though.

Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
This is probably a match for that double pivot that Dodds appears to like playing. I suspect he'll go with Pattenden at right back though my preference would be for Fin Back which allows us to play better on the break. It's a match for Fred and Gmac to show that class is permanent. Kone to return and the rest of the team picks itself.

Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
You often get travel hipsters claiming that a country's second city is where the real action is. I've heard people say Osaka is a better place to visit than Tokyo. Porto is better than Lisbon. Melbourne>>>Sydney.
But you'd have to be on meths to try and make a case for Birmingham.
Re: Birmingham and Burton KO moved
To be pedantic they were Stanley Bakers troops. As Lieutenant John Chard he was commissioned before Michael Caine’s Lieutenant Gonville Bromhead so pulled rank. Although neither officer had ever faced enemy action before Rourke’s Drift. A great moment in the film when Bromhead asks Chard if you ever get used to the slaughter? and he replies he wouldn’t know as he had come to build a bridge and never faced action before.
Re: Birmingham and Burton KO moved
A good omen perhaps. Michael Caine and his troops were wearing red when they successfully repelled the Zulus against all odds at Rourke's Drift

BONUS LEAP YEAR ENTRY
...in 2020 (five years ago) Matt Bloomfield was an unused substitute for Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 League One defeat to Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
Very quiet on the Birmingham forum. Most think they'll win and a few go for a draw. More fun on Twitter where a number of fans think we are FC Tinpot and this is our cup final.
Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
Will Ryan Allsop be playing?
If so start Sam Vokes and stick a load of crosses on the six yard line for me
