Re: Reading offer Bearwood training ground to Wycombe
Below is an extract from a report on RDG.TODAY I can't find any mention of the numbers required anywhere in other reports either.. It seems as though the petition is aimed at the Culture Secretary/Committee to set up an inquiry, rather than a full debate in the House. So it is a case of "the more the merrier". I would like to point out that Ms. Yang is the recently elected Member of Parliament in which the SCL/Mad Stad is located, who is doing all she can to help us. I've known it as the Mad Stad since it was built, very appropriate these days.
We are calling for the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee and the Business and Trade Select Committee to launch an inquiry into the ownership and governance affairs of Reading Football Club since 29 May 2012 on grounds of public interest, with a particular focus on the governance of Reading Football Club since May 2017.
Ms. Yang has been working in Parliament to apply pressure to the current ownership, securing a debate on sustainable football club ownership which will take place at the start of March; she also met Sports Minister Stephanie Peacock and pressed her to ensure that the Football Governance Bill and the Independent Football Regulator will have the powers needed to force irresponsible owners to sell when necessary.

Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
I'm sad for Blooms, but it really was not a good job to leave for. More money yes, but a club only going in one direction. He'll be lucky to be in the dugout by the start of next season.

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
I guess it’s how you interpret his comments but as I took it he meant that the players currently in the starting eleven deserve to be there and the fringe players will have to bide their time. He certainly wasn’t writing them off as not being up to it.
Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
I disagree that Wrexham’s ease. They have a tough March:
Bolton h
Huddersfield a
Rotherham h
Reading a
us a
Stockport h
Exeter a
Plus 9 out of their last 15 are away, and their away form isn’t great.
They are also in the EFL trophy semis, which is potentially 2 extra games for their squad that we don’t have. They play the next 3 Tuesdays when we play 1.
Re: Other Football
This Watford v Luton game is genuinely one of the worst I've ever seen, certainly at that level
Re: Attendance Prediction - Wigan Athletic (h) - Sat 22nd Feb '25 - Match 32 in 24/25
Top Twenty for the Away Crowd: [446]
A tie at the top again! Many congratulations to @mooneyman and @NewburyWanderer, both very close, missing by just two.
Congratulations to @perfidious_albion and @DevC who were the only others with 5% [22.3]
Lots of tied positions - again catching the mood of the match.
Top Twenty for the Home Crowd: [4999]
We very nearly did it!
Unsurprisingly considering the number invovled there was a triple tie at the top of this table. Many congratulations to @micra, @Mandown amd @silverfox who all missed by the one person. Excellent predicting.
Congratulations to @PJS, @NewburyWanderer, @Forest_Blue, @robin @MindlessDrugHoover and @wwfcblue who were all within one hundred.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Didn't Blooms sign 8 new players in this window?
