Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
"your not Nike Dodds" has to be one of the worst lines read on here for a while.

Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
Impressed that our new Head Coach has signed such a lucrative sponsorship deal already.

Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
Bit early to be referring to the manager as a god.
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
There was no possible line-up today that wouldn't have been interesting, with all the new signings!
But definitely wouldn't have guessed we'd leave both Scowen and Hymphreys out and play neither Dane.
Great to see Harvie back, makes a huge difference.

Re: Reading offer Bearwood training ground to Wycombe
Another route that could unfold. Reading FC not being able to show they have enough funds to see out next season and the EFL kick us out of the League. I am not too sure of the implications if this was to happen. Which league could we play in? Would it be the same club still? i.e. the one formed in 1871. Would it encourage Dai to sell? Would he be able to sell it in non-league? Would he want the hassle of selling for a much reduced price? There are so many different ways this mess can/will/if be resolved.
Re: Ryan Tafazolli leaves the club on loan
In fairness Gaz was the king of secrecy with injuries.
But if he thought Vokesy was worth a go, and Taf wasn't, when both have barely got near the pitch this season, maybe there were other reasons.
We always assume players will just move anywhere for games, but moving 2 1/2 hours away probably doesn't suit everyone.

Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
In all seriousness, did anyone expect Kone to play today anyway? Missed the last game through injury, while we have regularly rotated in the cup so far. I fully expected him to be rested today, even if fit again.

Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
I'm sure all of us would prefer he misses a game or 2 now to ensure he's properly 100% for the rest of the season

Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
Exactly, we aren't a one man team, and him not starting doesn't mean we lose anymore than it meant that, or that he was on his way last week.
