I think there have been one or two scheduled 8.30pms which I believe is the latest scheduled kick off time in this country.

Possible, could be a variety of things, maybe he didn't want to take a punt on him with limited resources only for him to be out injured.

Also old fashioned now but possible he only wants to talk about the players who were available on a free and not speculate about those under contract elsewhere or how much money he has or doesn't have.
