Re: Mike Dodds
He left us 7 years ago and is fast approaching being Sunderland’s 20th highest appearance maker.
He is contracted until June 2026 and as Captain he will not doubt stay with them next season if they go up or don’t.
I think Sunderland is more home to him than Wycombe. I never thought he would do so well up there, so credit to him, his hard work and tenacity.

Re: Mike Dodds
Luke nowadays is viewed as a club legend at Sunderland. I'm fairly certain if they go up he'll be given a fair crack at the PL.

Re: Birmingham and Burton KO moved
Peterborough away on Saturday March 8 remains a 3pm kick off. Match NOT selected for TV. (It of course should be selected for tv as first game was and very entertaining and there has been recent history between sides but Sky’s loss is regular match day fans’ gain). Get your trains booked!
We should know about Wrexham game at end of next week.
Re: Will Norris signs
He's a goalkeeper - he is there to get angry and shout at defenders.
Re: David Wheeler departs
Sounds like both Wheels and Jason decided that commuting to Shrewsbury for 6/12/18 months wasn't really worth their time, particularly since that have offers closer to home.
A real blow for Gaz tho.

Re: David Wheeler departs
Interesting. Does sound like Wheels is potentially looking to explore non-playing options if GA has referenced him in the same context as McCarthy.

Re: Mike Dodds
Free hit on Saturday so no pressure this week . I hope that he can keep Vokesy involved as that would be a good win for him. Vokes played at highest level and I could see him being groomed as part of our new world order to come along for the ride.
Very ‘style over real substance’ on the interview front (not a negative) and difficult to gage just what he’ll be like as a Head coach beyond the odd bits and pieces posted on other club forums.
I must say that our whole media packages have been upgraded to be much more polished although the autogenerated CCs that are littered with incorrect words should be tightened up for readability.
He seems like a solid guy, right PR answers for the moment and at least not a Steve Evans / Ian Evatt type personality.
Welcome aboard, although it all comes down to results in this business so be lucky!
