Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
The guy who played on the right wing for them in the first half looked pretty decent and very positive. I was glad to see him go off at HT.
Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
Absolutely. Since the start of 2025 we've played 12 games in all competitions and conceded 7 goals. It might not be as exciting as it was August - November but we are still a very good team who are extremely hard to beat.

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
Fuck sakes. There it is again. Throw away insults calling people “the pompous brigade” (am I in that brigade and What uniform are we wearing?) about people for no reason other than to try and annoy or point score.
If I just went straight ahead and said “all you Bloomycuntychops lapping at his massive tenure” might think I was being purposely provocative . I mean, I 100% was that time but it does nothing but throw a bit of needle in for no reason.
Now, can someone please tell me how the game was, because I have Las Iguanas in an hour and Mojitos are calling.
Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
An annoying result, but in context, in Blooms last 4 games he lost 2 and won 1, so our form hasnt been fizzing for a while.
For more context, Blooms tenure was largely turgid for his first 12 months, so let's give Doddsyboy a bit of time.
Re: Man of the Match - Wigan (H)
I went with Taylor, constantly tried to bring ball out like an extra midfielder. Was a menace in their box, strong in ours. Great to see Jasper back and he was very good too, I'd just like to see him have the confidence to really drive at defenders when he is on the attack down the wing. He's clearly skillful enough and quick enough but defers to his winger too often.
Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
Stats had 69 backwards passing out of 359 accurate passes, that's not a lot in comparison is it?

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
Everyone?
I was disappointed that our measured, possession based approach failed to produce the outcome that virtually everyone on here was expecting and had metaphorically put their Samaritans money on but I hope that isn’t sufficient justification for me to have to shut the fuck up.

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
I think everyone needs to take a step back. If we win 1-0, we laud that a "performance of complete control and preofessionalism". It didn't quite break for us today. That's 3 games in a row when I can count the number of chances we've given the opposition on one hand, accumalatively!
Yes, we should have gone a little more gung ho, but surely there are some positives to take from that? I've never seen us more comfortable than I have in the last two matches.
Re: Birmingham and Burton KO moved
Ah that’s the way it should be. A return to our roots
