Re: WWFC v Wrexham NOT selected for TV
I still remember the Kidderminster home game during the Kelman era towards the end of our Loakes Park years.
We’d been happily playing in front of crowds at around 1000 or so for a while (which was pretty good for non league back in the 80s) and suddenly 4 1/2 thousand turned up.
A decent proportion of those new fans must have stayed and helped propel us into the new ground and then into the football league.
But then we were brilliant to watch that day…
Keep hoping for something similar
Re: The season starts now...
Hope not to be honest. We saw what happened when we did that v Huddersfield.
Re: Who said you can't build on Green Belt land?
While I agree it's not a stadium - and is still subject to approval but the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government because it is designated as green belt land - it's exactly the kind of thing that a little money can use to create a precedent.
FWIW I favour the idea of ML buying up the businesses on Hillbottom Road and creating a Wycombe Wanderers Village complete with restaurants, parking, kids activities, chair lift, affordable housing* purchased on subscription and a 30,000 seated stadium.

Crawley closer but not much in it

Re: Mike Dodds
Doesn’t he fall under the banner of “Wayne Rooneys Peter Shuttleworth” having worked with him at Plymouth and DC United?
Re: Today...
...in 2009 (16 years ago) Matt Bloomfield played 85 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in a 1-0 League Two defeat to Bradford City at Valley Parade (replaced by Matt Phillips).
In 2012 (13 years ago) Matt Bloomfield played 90 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in a 3-2 League One defeat to Yeovil Town at Adams Park.
In 2015 (ten years ago) Matt Bloomfield was an unused substitute for Wycombe Wanderers in a 2-1 League Two defeat to Newport County at Adams Park.
Re: The season starts now...
Those of us who remember Sean Devine's mystery injury are having unpleasant flashbacks.
