Re: Rumour Mill
I would question why he signed a new contract in November if that was the case here. He signed to work for Wycombe Wanderers, not Matt Bloomfield. There are naturally circumstances when it would be appropriate to let him go (homesick, drastic change in company values etc) but none that I can see currently.
His value is highly unlikely to go down anytime soon so as I said before, no reason to sell for any price unless it’s really stupid money.
Re: New Manager Vote
Could we be the first club managed by an AI Bot? That could be the big reveal...
Though the scenes when it analyzes all football matches, ever, and bleeps "You know what? Possession can do one."
Re: Rumour Mill
If I was Dan Rice, my approach to this would be to tell Kone we won't be accepting any bids this January. Get your head down, win the golden boot, get us promoted, and then we can talk in the Summer. In the Summer not only could he already be a Championship player with us (and therefore in pole position to push for a much more improved contract) but he would also start to attract much bigger clubs - the likes of Leicester, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Leeds etc won't ignore a 21-22 year old with 25+ league goals.
Re: Alex Lowry signs
Based on nothing other than the YouTube highlights the prospect of Humphreys and Lowry playing together is quite exciting.
We've had the odd 'flair' midfield player before but I think you tend to get more from them if combined with a couple of others with a similar skillset and ability level.
As I say, total guesswork based on a few video clips. But fingers crossed 🤞
Re: Alex Lowry signs
That makes me think that we are soon going to hear opposition supporters singing ‘where were you when you were s - - t’.
Re: Rumour Mill
The bit that I find totally perplexing is that AAH2 is linked with Stoke, Baggies and other top half budgeted sides. Kone is linked with clubs toward the bottom. Kone has a much better track record and is certainly a much better player in my book.
Re: New Manager Vote
He might just be bidding for a striker that he knows well and who will improve his present team and knows Dan Rice doesn't really like Richard above and beyond photo-ops trying to show his great connection with the team.
Perhaps we'll never know.
Re: New Manager Vote
Why?
Whether there is a clause or not, it is our decision whether to accept a bid or not.
Even if a clause existed, they could still suggest a price and if attractive we could waive the clause.
If there was a contractural break clause as suggested, not in our power to insert new clauses anyway.
Re: Rumour Mill
But I don’t think there were many suitors for Stansfield. There is loads of interest in Kone.
