I feel strangely calm about today and really have no idea why.
Apparently Vernon Kay just said on Radio 2 he was worried his wanderers (the Bolton variety) would get beaten today. We are doomed!
As they might say in Welwyn, we’ll win today. Am I right in thinking that Vernon Kay is of a northern disposition?

He is very much from Bolton, although lives in Bucks and we can’t seem to get him off the Wycombe panto stage!

Looking at the stats for Bolton’s match at Oakwell last Saturday (a 4-1 defeat), they seem to have similar difficulty to ourselves in converting territorial advantage into goals. I reckon a couple of goals would virtually guarantee us the points today. Not that we score two or more very often these days, of course, but everything crossed.

What Bolton are lacking ATM is a midfielder who can spread the passes around, someone in the Aaron Morley mould.
As are we it seems. Still think of all the money we saved by not squandering it on players that are too often ill or injured… 
Wrexham have a potentially tricky game against Bristol Rovers, who need the three points badly.
Things could get messy.
Vernon Kay, and his missus Tess (strictly) Daly live in Beaconsfield. I know a few people that have had to deal with them re work etc. Apparently Vernon is an extremely pleasant friendly likeable guy, but, the less said about his missus the better
I can confirm this based on my own albeit limited interactions. In around 2005, a young Kay and Daly came to Gerrards Cross cinema. I duly served them with Vernon very smiley and his betrothed less so, and very grumpy about claiming back for the parking.
Anyway, I’m all for discipline but I’d love to see us start on the front foot and blow them away in the first half. Perhaps wishful thinking. Come on you Blues.
