Since beating Lincoln away, we've only won twice on a Saturday (Shrewsbury, Mansfield), but eight times on other days of the week. Bizarre

  • Watched some of it without volume as I don't care what the fat c*nt thinks but like to see him squirm, his swaying makes Doods seem statuesque but may just be his legs giving out under him.

  • I'd rather lose 6-0 playing like Brazil than win a League One game against Steve Evans to retain second spot playing like that.

    Or something.

  • FFS! Clark-Harris practically played basketball for the 2nd goal. What was fatty Evan’s complaining about?🤷‍♂️

  • I know Norris has the pedigree...but from the highlights the first goal and the handball goal were both poor. I know Rav might not have been any better, but I think he deserves another shot.

  • Odd for the 4th official to give it, but it was a very clear handball, can't believe the referee missed it.

  • A swarm of Wycombe players immediately surrounded him and I think he knew he'd dropped a clanger, found his way out of it via the 4th official

  • Just back from the game and glad I was there to watch it rather than read some of the stuff on here tonight. 3 goals 3 points back up to second. A good few players missing at the moment with injuries and possible illness but that comeback after conceding was impressive - best attacking football I have seen from us (after we conceded) in a long time. COYB

  • As a side note, what on earth was Norris doing at the start of the second half? Almost 5 minutes to sort his boot/laces out at 0-0 in a game we needed to win? Seemed totally inexcusable at the time and annoyed pretty much everyone the time it was taking

  • 54 seconds between kick off and Kodua making it 3-1.

11 seconds between kick off and Simons giving away the pen.

  • Simon’s decision making in and around our box is a real worry.

  • I think perhaps that is the price we’re going to have to pay for the good (attacking) elements of Simons’ play, the poor decision making defensively.

Whenever you get a promising loan player from a higher level, there is always the question, “so why is <club X> ready to let them go on loan then?” - Simons is 22 so no longer a kid.

And in this case, perhaps the defensive side is that Achilles heel.

The good news is, you’d hope that the shakey defensive instincts are very much the kind of thing that can be refined with coaching.

  • Reminds me a lot of the sort of antics you’d see from Xhaka at Arsenal. Lets hope he learns quicker than Xhaka did.

  • We absolutely got away with one last night. Rotherham were absolutely dreadful, it's just until that Leahy cross we were even worse.

Substitutions made a huge impact, as all of a sudden there was movement in front of the midfield and support for Kone.

It was a reall Jekyll and Hyde. The last 20 minutes was incredibly positive, like someone had taken the handbrake off. The first 70 was absolutely abysmal. If Dodds can go away and analyse the game, see the difference the last 20 made then there is still hope.

I'm not sure why all the left footers were playing on the right and all the right footers on the left (Leahy excepted).

Special word for Leahy, who was magnificent last night. Kone makes such a huge difference to us as a team.

  • The biggest job our club will have in years is replacing Kone this Summer when the inevitable happens. At least they'll have £x million to do so!

  • Watching the highlights again this morning my reflections are:

    • Norris shouldn’t be starting over Rav
    • Two cracking balls in from Leahy for goals 1 and 2
    • JCH’s finish was brilliant but one of the most blatant handballs you’ll see, laughable that Evans called it out
    • Humphreys is wasted playing so deep
    • We can’t play like that and expect to win many of the remaining games
  • Find a way to win when not playing well is what good teams do. It’s what Wrexham do. We are second in the league with nine games left. Beyond our dreams at start of season. Enjoy.

  • Exactly right. Last night was a bizarre game, but all that matters is that we got the 3 points, and are back in 2nd place.

Our squad is good enough to beat most, if not all, of the remaining 9 opponents. All we have to do is get the formation and tactics right, and we'll be fine.

  • Tactically all over the place. Not sure it was as bad a performance as people are making out though especially given there were a few strong performers.

Haven’t got a clue what Dodds should or will do next. The only thought I have is maybe Scowen loses his place (he shouldn’t of course but he might).

  • The Lincoln and Shrewsbury home games on the other side of the international break feel huge. In reality I think we probably need to win both to give ourselves some margin for error in the tougher matches to come.

90 points has to be the target here: 19 points from nine games. Win 6, draw 1, lose 2. Charlton won't get 90. Wrexham might - that's out of our control though.

Chalking off two of those wins against Lincoln and Shrewsbury will be a huge step forward and really play us back into form.

  • One of the many weird things from last night was that in what was at times an extremely poor team performance, there were some very strong individual performances. Bradley, apart from his error for the 1st goal was good, Simons was excellent in midfield, Leahy had a strong match. Humphreys may have been a little too deep, but he was still very good on the ball. The issue seemed to be lack of attacking width and having a very isolated Kone battling away on his own. The subs were a big help in fixing this, although not sure why we waited until we were behind to make the changes. Still, we got away with it!

  • For all the talk of how hard our run in is, you really can't ask for more than a mid table Lincoln and an absolutely sinking Shrewsbury.

Yes, neither are a given, and we haven't won 2 in a row in seemingly living memory, but this is 2 perfect games to hopefully whip some form and confidence up in.

  • We need to fit Kone with a Bubblewrap suit in training. Without him our chances are slimmer than Posh Spice on Ozempic.

  • Hopefully Gaz let's us win 10 nil to give us a bonus point on goal difference. Be nice to see Blackman, Gape, Wheeler and Pierre

  • If we go into with that attitude we'll get a shoeing like we got off Morecambe when we were on the cusp of promotion.

  • If we go up, I’m confident he’ll sign a one year extension to 26-27. Given what we spent on the Danes, I’m sure Rice will be given some funds to get us Championship ready recruitment wise which should be enough to keep him happy.

If we stay in League 1, then yes, I suspect we will be forced to sell.

  • With our misfiring wide players, It still seems wingback is the best option. But then you have to get the middle correct and not have them too deep.

Humphreys can be a 10 behind Kone, with scowen and Xavi.

  • Once those games are out of the way we play every side ranked 4th - 9th, with a pesky Stevenage thrown into the mix. It really is a very, very tough run. At least it's in our hands.
