This is fantastic news ! Thanks chaps, and once again to the good doctor !
Also, @Shev .. I apologise from the very deepest of my heart if I was one of the ones moaning, that might have enforced your little break. It really is great to see you back
Thanks mate - and to the posters above too. I feel a little overly dramatic to go on too much about why I took time out, but it can't hurt to summarize.
I was not offended by anyone and never mind an argument or debate. It is more the fact that it seemed more and more like most posters felt like it was time to "move on", and I realized I am just going to annoy people in at least the short term (some might say 'what's new?'), as I see every new happening through the prism of the Big Thing That Happened, and am still massively angry about it. So if everyone was still up for the debate, I am happy to disagree and go back and forth (and to be clear, I thought and still think the debate was worth having and generally conducted well), but if the consensus is "why are we still talking about this?" it then becomes a different thing. Everyone is wired differently, so if being upset over the Bloomfield treatment is starting to diminish how people want the forum's tone to be, it made sense to just be quiet.
I am still angry, and always will be, but not everyone feels the same way, and I don't want to be a one-note poster that takes away from the atmosphere rather than enhances it.
I think the fact he left when he did for them and that he's obviously been well compensated did quell the outrage for many, of course it's highly likely he turns all of that down if he's happy, but also with the merky nature of whatever happened being only implied and a promotion race of our own I think you can probably forgive some people for wanting to concentrate on the future, conversely if it is all true and he was forced out that explains the random scattergun signings and inexperienced replacement more than anything else and it really does look like a shit show.
You're free to take whatever stance you like but I think we also let players and the coaching staff off the hook by focusing only on the chairman, even if it turns out to be his bidding.
Before you celebrate too hard, my new era is going to be more controlled posting where I try and just do one post per day and end up doing none. (too soon? 😁)
Hear hear !! I’ve been very poorly today with tachycardia but, feeling a lot better a few minutes ago, decided to have a quick visit to the Gasroom. Really chuffed to have direct messages from @Shev and @glasshalfempty but the prospect of Gasroom 3.0 starting in a couple of weeks is the icing on the cake.
Cheers mate! I personally think in the passage of time this season will be seen as a huge sliding doors moment (let's face it, it already is, but will be more so) and eventually - hopefully - it will be a matter of common knowledge as to what happened and there will be more fan unity in reaction to it.
You’re certainly not the only one. I’m finding it very hard to “get over it”, I’m not sure I will. In over 40 years of supporting WWFC I’ve never felt so disconnected to the club which seems very strange given what a great position we are in. I’m still there most weeks to support the lads but something just doesn’t feel quite right at the moment.
Very interesting read, cheers! I have been saying that owing to the nature of the game we were always in danger of ending up in a place like this, but I had hoped that Bloomfield would act as a bridge from the old culture into the new, and perhaps make it smoother and more palatable along the way. Instead the way it has gone down has made it a much more jarring shift in the club.
@fromtheside I’ve been searching for the word(s) to express how I’m feeling about my fandom right now and yes you’ve summed it up perfectly “disconnected ….. strange given the position we are in”.
Ditto. I’ve not been as active, partially work related, but more because I feel so disconnected. Last time I felt like this was under Steve Hayes once he’d bought Wasps.
I’ve tried to get back on the bandwagon with a few posts and away games but at the minute I’m still nowhere near where I was. Typically I’d be at Rotherham tonight but I just don’t have the inclination.
I won’t be sponsoring a player next season, which will be first time in a long time.
Still deciding on season tickets but some of that is due to moving kick offs and my son doing his A levels.
I’m still very angry about it all but putting a brave face on it in public and trying not to go over old ground.
Hope you feel betterings. Big win tonight should cheer you up. (I reserve the right to edit that to "scraped lucky win", but will be as gratefully received by all of us)

It will involve a new sign up I'm afraid, we'll try to keep it as painless as possible!
This is great news to start the week! Thank you @OxfordBlue and @bluequarters for taking this on.
Viva la Gasroom.
I am gone five minutes and you all go and start a new site? Talk about moving the goalposts!
Welcome home @Shev
here he is!
Back for the run-in like Richard Kone
Glory beckons
Nice to see you, to see you nice - as someone once said - @Shev

Well done new overlords, many thanks again to the good doctor. And welcome back Shev.
I thought the whole point of Gasroom 3 was we'd be weeding out troublemakers like @Shev ?
(Joke! Welcome back...)
I'd weed me out if I were...er...not me!
You are far from the only one still angry about it, even if they don't predominate on here. The truth will out.

@Shev returning is the best news since news of Gasroom3.
Which is the best news before we win gloriously tomorrow, back to 2nd, and everyone realises it's all back on track.
Ok, 2 out of 3 definites at least!
Before you celebrate too hard, my new era is going to be more controlled posting where I try and just do one post per day and end up doing none. (too soon? 😁)
I’ve been using them both for about six months now, the regaine stings a bit at first but I can put my trousers on once it’s dry.
Oh and great news about the new Gasroom . I’m in .
We all try and do that. But normally can barely go one hour without a post
Great to see you back @Shev. Now where the fuck is the MOTM poll for Saturday 😀
I think the only people who can lay a claim are the medical staff!

Amen @Shev - I’ll never be happy about it either. The haste with which we were expected to ‘move on’ was ridiculous.

A gasroom3.0 sounds great, this is brilliant news! And we have @Shev back too! 3 points tonight to complete the good news hattrick!
Hope you feel betterings. Big win tonight should cheer you up. (I reserve the right to edit that to "scraped lucky win", but will be as gratefully received by all of us)
