Can’t afford another slow start to the game. Got to come out of the blocks like tigers. Like controlled tigers of course, wouldn’t want any silly reds.
According to a deranged thread on another forum, we had a football 'firm' in 2001 called Section 5. Our Top Boys took the piss out of Swindon fans in their main pub and got a slap. This appears to be the most exciting thing that happened to Section 5.
Watched the highlights this morning. Dead cert penalty and 100% in the box. The sky commentator said the ref made the correct decision . Parkinson has had so many decisions go his way that he can't take it when he doesn't get one.I hope that we get a neutral referee on Saturday and not a Mickey Mouse one. Excuse the pun.
I thought they were called Section 5 as there was only 5 of them. I was pretty young at the time but remember them running on the pitch at Notts County away, guess early 00s.
Correct. They ‘invaded’ the pitch following a late equaliser from Craig Faulconbridge (Wrexham connection!). Which triggered mass chanting of ‘Wycombe doesn’t want you’ and lots of hand gesturing back towards the crowd. I think at least one member is a reformed character now…the early 00s saw a brief resurgence of wannabe hools with the Cardiff v Leeds FA Cup game a lowlight. Bloody annoying when my FB is invaded by videos of aged halfwits promoting their tales of yore.
I've come to the conclusion that there is no point stressing over the "run in" with 10 games to go. A few weeks back we were 6 points clear, at one point we were ahead of Birmingham and now they are 12 points clear. All the results that I have predicted have gone completely wrong, and everything and anything can change at the drop of a hat.
Players can get injured, suspended, poor form can hit, good form can hit, refereeing decisions can go for or against anyone - there are far too many variables.
I'm just going to sit back and enjoy what a season this has been. Expect the worst, knowing that at our best we can beat anyone in this league (and above), and hope for the best.
With all the change that has happened this season, we have dealt with most that has been thrown at us. One last push will see us over the line - but if we fall - I'm excited by my clubs' plans for the future.
Now that I've got Micra's contact details I'm more excited in bringing back Section 5. We could use 'Decimal 5' by The Scaffold as the basis of our chant and if we add a few members of the Georgian Mafia we could be top boys in no time.
I hope we don’t play with too much pressure on Saturday. A 0-0 draw is not ideal but it would not be the worst result in the world. Yesterday’s result made it more of a must not lose game rather than must win - which I think works in our favour.
I actually think that Rotherham is a bigger game than this one in some ways. Whatever result on Saturday, it will be wasted if we dont get a result against Rotherham with the games we have coming up.
Whether that be to catch up with Wrexham or go further clear, it's massive.

Exactly this, the pressure to win/not lose can’t be underestimated and affects even the most experienced players.

Something like this
I feel much better having read this!
Win on Saturdayo, and we’ll have one big toe in the Champo. I’ll get my coat.
At least in documentary terms Adams Park will look like a veritable cauldron of rabid football fandom onscreen.
Hopefully we will get at them early...

Time to reform for the Wrexham game?
If the cameras were facing toward the FA maybe.
I thought they already got the band back together but the drummer was crap.

I remember seeing 10 members of Section Five running away from three Port Vale fans after being chased out of a chip shop.
Nails.

Half a dozen halfwits.... a Wycombe "firm"
Oh my goodness.... its cringeworthy....
Shame on the family!

Didn’t see all of the game but what I did see suggested Wrexham weren’t all that.
We need to start on the front foot, early goal and away we go.
I think even most of their fans would tell you they’re not “all that”, but what they can do is grind out results like no other.
That’s one of the things that concerns me, we tend to do pretty badly against solid dogged sides that don’t go out of their way to attack.

I’m certainly up for it. I’ve definitely got the bottle. Can’t go far without it these days.
