Countdown to Wrexham

I am hoping this will be a sort of Pre Match Day thread - knowing the Gasroom it could end up discussing anything from bright copper kettles to warm wollen mittens.

Looks likely that the match will be a sellout - here are the figures for tickets left available taken from the lcub ticket website this morning:

The terrace and the Origin Stand are already sold out.

For those that like to spot trends, here are the figures for the previous three days (from a bit earlier in the morning).

I will post an update every day on here , or until we sell out.

Should be a good atmosphere. Up the Blues.

  • Great work, Steve. Given the current rate of sale and an inevitable uptick in interest as this next week goes by, hard to imagine that we won't achieve a sell out...whatever the club deem that figure to be these days...

  • State the obvious but a win against our nearest rival for 2nd place, in front of a full house, could be a huge boost for confidence.

Suffer defeat and the mood will be extremely flat.

  • Woke up early thinking about the game this morning. Will be struggling to sleep at all by the end of the week at this rate🙈

  • Good thread, will certainly need to get going a fair bit earlier to park up for this one.

Does anyone know for certain what our current capacity is? I know it was way under 10,000, but can't remember if it's more like 9,200 or as low as 8,500?

  • No such thing as a six pointer?

Oh yes there F’in well is!

  • 'ave some of THAT!!!!!

  • There's got to be a good chance that Deadpool shows his face (or not) for this one, given the magnitude of the game and the proximity to Heathrow.

  • Very annoyingly we cannot make it, nor can we watch from Vipienne. Text updates it is.

Season tickets have been transferred to friends who will deputise for us in the “Go on King!”, “Ref!”, “Book him!” and we may hope a repeated “Get in!”. A final “Have that Deadpool!” at the conclusion should do do nicely.

  • Sell Out today

    Or possibily tomorrow?

Twenty four of the 139 tickets that were available late last night have gone. There were 780 available last Thursday morning.

This is what is left on the site. The family state seats all appear to be the assisted places at the very front of Blocks B, E and H.

Please endulge me with a shout out to those that post attendance predictions. Those prediction posts which are made after a sell out is declared will not count in the season long prediction attendance competition. I will list them on the attendance match day thread but a sell means they won't count in the overall competition.

That said good luck to anyone guessing what our actual capacity is for this game.

  • Perhaps we could have a prediction competition for how many disappointed punters arrive to Adams Park on Saturday expecting to 'pay on the gate'?

  • Interesting to see they have opened up 40 or so seats along the third row back of the origin Not sure what these are usually used for - returned sponsor/guest tickets?

"This game is expected to sell-out with the only availability remaining as follows:

Frank Adams Stand: outer blocks available

Origin Stand: restricted view seats only

    Beechdean Terrace: SOLD OUT

    Family Stand: SOLD OUT"

I didn't know we had restricted view seats - the mark of a massive club!

  • "Matchdays at Adams Park are a fantastic way to get together with friends and family to enjoy the game and atmosphere at your local club, with plenty going on around the stadium, super-fast wifi for you to post your memories to social media, live sport on TV before and after the Chairboys' match, and much more!"

Is that really an aspect they have to push in order to get people along? What have we become?

  • There will definitely be at least one "i couldn't get parked" moan.

Probably from me not realising leaving at 2.10pm and expecting to park as usual isn't clever.

  • My dopey brother left it too late to get a terrace ticket... in the unlikely event anyone is selling one, please let me know! Happy to get you a pint (or beverage of your choice too) and meet a fellow gasroomer if you fancy it too.

  • The new dugouts do obscure parts of the pitch. Anything that happens in the far corner below the big screen is a mystery to me.

  • Yeah, sitting in the terrace-end of the origin stand its very difficult to see any play happening down that wing now.

  • parking spots available to book now too if anyone needs one.

  • Booked in to the school. Phew!

  • Ah, that's a bit crap. Do we sell those seats at a discount?

When would be the best time to get to the car parks near the ground, to be sure of finding a space?

    I’m thinking Wednesday lunchtime.

  • Loads of single tickets now gone back on sale - about 200 overall now available

  • Be full by 1230 I reckon. Just booked the school parking as I don’t really want to leave home before midday for a 3pm kick off.

  • All Origin Stand seats are restricted view. That’s what happens when you erect two oversized dug outs against a small stand.

  • Millbrook s hook parking now sold out.

  • Millbrook school that was. 😂

  • I can't make this game but good luck to anyone trying to find a space after 1pm.

If you always drive and live close'ish to the ground I would be tempted to drop the car at the ground in the morning on or off Lane End Road, avoiding Hillbottom Road and get a lift down at 1-1.30pm. You'll be home before 5.30pm.

  • The matchday bus service provided by Carousel Buses will see two buses in operation rather than one for Saturday's game against Wrexham at Adams Park.

    Shit just got real

  • we are massive.

  • Proper solution that.

Those 60 extra seats will make the difference.
