Hard luck lads. Took a Championship side all the way with several players that haven’t played together and missing the best player in the league. Great away support. Time for us to put everything towards this autos push.
Just caught the end on the radio. Sad way to go out, given who scored the decider, but no shame in getting to pens in the Cup against a Championship side who (let's face it) are unlikely to get much further. Dodds must have seen plenty to occupy his mind before Crawley.
Our A list pen takers have missed this season, so wasn't expecting too many mint ones from the players left.
Was bad enough their first 2 pens being scored by niggly arsey players but there's something sickening inevitable about the likes of Ched Evans scoring the winner.
Confused as to why we didn't bring on an extra sub in extra time? Vokes to try and hold it up front, or Humphries in midfield were surely options? Still, we held out, so can really complain.
Heartbreaking, but back to league next week. Hopefully we can put this behind us
Honestly not particularly bothered to have lost that. A shame to go out on pens, but more than matched Preston today. Another game that I think we win if Kone is on the pitch.
Birmingham 1-0 up against Newcastle after 45 seconds so we might all want to rearrange our plans for that Saturday after all!
Seemed very odd not to give Humphreys any sort of action. Can't imagine he'd be ill or have a knock, as we've tonnes of squad options to rotate for his place otherwise.
Swap Bakinson for Xavier, Lubala for Kone and Skura (who I was very impressed with) for Grimmer and we've got a team that I'll be confident of winning every match for the rest of the season. And next season we'll beat Preston twice.
I couldn’t see him in them. He certainly wasn’t in any proper training so this is now a massive worry. I wouldn’t say we are a one man team but scoring seems to be very difficult when he’s not playing.

What a shame. But we’ve nothing to be disappointed in apart from the result. Let’s go and win the league.
We are not good at pens even when Kone, GMac and Leahy are on the pitch. There was not much hope!
Yeah, interesting choice to give one to the guy who's not played since May. Oh well, promotion to win!
Cheers mate - not sure I get the question though?

I'm not blaming anyone.... but

Well done to all who travelled.

Real shame that, but sounded like a great effort.

A shame to lose on pens but to go toe-to-toe over 120 mins with a decent championship side is a good place to be.
Let’s go and get that promotion
No one answered this, but was expecting one? Surely we didn't give up the chance to bring Vokes or Humphreys on late?
I'll take it.
Yep such a shame, 1 goal margin you always mentally feel you have a chance, but 2 killed it.
Good to see a few lads like Lubala really giving it a charge over 120 mins to impress Doddsy.
Turgid pen from Reach.
The gasroom has a tendency to speak too early at the moment like with Bolton.
Let the game get a few more mins in first.
Though not sure we want that game postponed as it'd could be lumped even closer with Wrexham and Huddersfield games in a horror all 3 in 11 days job.
It’s a shame to go out but very promising that we matched a Championship side for 120 minutes.
That was a perfect result. Held Preston over 120 mins, clean sheet for Norris and penalties is always just a lottery.
Heads held high, no distractions and now can concentrate on the promotion race to earn the right to play PNE on parity next season.

Huddersfield will almost certainly be postponed (international weekend).
Perfect result? We’ve f***ing lost!
Ah good that sounds better then. Thought we had a chance of a nightmare run.
Not having a loss as perfect but happy with prioritising the league considering where we are.
Hope we can go as full strength as possible now for a while and grab some wins. The new boys can have less match time until they impress.

But now long is Kone out for? That’s the big worry.
Probably a couple of weeks after we're told he's out on the grass!
Bugger but Lowry seems a promising prospect
He was in the training videos this week, so not long hopefully.

Apart from the obvious why don't we like Evans? I feel like he elbowed someone or?
