Sorry, I thought you were referring to the Wanderers. Mentioning Casuals and Pegasus brings back great memories.
They include the game when Frank Adams presented Loakes Park to the club. Casuals were the opposition, and the picture of that occasion shows them all wearing their usual odd socks.
Maybe with the progresses in AI we'll even be able to share in the joy is "seeing" these things as you did. Now wouldn't that be something special to help keep the culture and history of our great club alive.
Wow. I don't think we could afford to lose Udoh AND Kone. There aren't much better that you could buy at this level when other clubs know you have money. Although it would represent some cracking business if we sold both for the reported fees.
I genuinely believe that if we get promotion, Kone will sign a 1 year extension keeping him with us until ‘27.
Dan, I’m not so sure, is he Championship level? He’s had it tough being a sole striker trying to play the Kone role the last four games. He’s got some key goals and I love the bloke, and this is a big IF, but even being a squad player when Dan Rice looks at arming us for the Championship, I think business may take care of itself.
Dan Udoh is a real great guy and it would be very sad to see him leave our club. I feel that Dan benefited from playing alongside Kone and visa versa but it appears Mike Dodds prefers to play the single central attacker with the two wide men in his preferred formation of:- 4,2,3,1.
It’s a good plan B to have though isn’t it. I think most teams would be concerned if they saw a front 2 of Kone and Udoh.
We really are blessed with such strength in depth this season and ‘the Wycombe way’ of playing is now a lot more unpredictable than it used to be. (Predictable but effective under Gaz, I should add)
They would be missed and it may be that they decide to stay for some Championship football, but if we are going to sell, I would be happy if we sold The King and Dan Udoh to 'big clubs' for big money as long as we then got in a couple of strikers with a bit of experience. (Over to Dan R.)
If we have to buy a new strikeforce in the summer (probs because we don't get promotion, I also think Kone will stay if we do), I'll be interested to see if we go for proven EFL strikers or whether the hierarchy will look to Denmark again.
Personally I imagine not. One conspiracy theory I'm happy to buy into is that the Danes were brought in for a head coach who turned us down and are more likely to be slipped back home on the quiet in the summer than stick around.
I wonder if The Coach we never got would have played the two record signings by now? It's still strange they don't even make the matchday squad.
I spoke to a Chesterfield fan who suggested to me, an anonymous bloke on an internet forum, that Berry was a bit 'mardy' and something of a dressing room disrupter, but he is of course no more in the know than I am and Mike Dodds is supposed to be adept at handling the yoof...so who knows.
We really shouldn’t need to be looking towards Europe when there is so much “domestic” talent already and the expectation that we will be developing truly home grown talent in the relatively near future.
The recruitment of the Danes was almost as big a disruption during the January window as the loss of an extremely successful manager.
Has it been a disruption? They've come in and sat on the bench/not been in the squad, unless there is evidence that they are causing a problem by not playing?

You wouldn’t be at least a little curious if one of our new signings turns out to be green?
All that matters is that they bleed light and dark blue.
Don’t mention Musk , I mentioned him once but I think I got away with it.
If Musk is AI his programmer needs changing.
To "lovingly borrow" from Ben Elton, Mr Musk has been showing more authentic stupidity than artificial intelligence recently.
Well there’s definitely a Wayne Rooney joke in here somewhere.
I can assure you, @wingnut, that Maidstone had floodlights no later than 1952.

I hope you have someone documenting these memories @wingnut? They can't be many that still remember these events - and certainly not on the gasroom.
Even @micra is a new supporter by your standards!

Gaz wanted to sign Sam Vokes
I wonder if he hadn't have been co-managing the squad at that point, if he'd have gone.
I wonder who said no - Vokes himself or the club?
Could it be that Sam Vokes has been offered a place on the coaching side ? I think he’d be excellent.
First one for the summer
https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/burnley-linked-with-850000-swoop-for-wycombe-wanderers-star/
That's a mad one. Especially bearing in mind Burnley could easily go up this season
“Go and get that striker from Wycombe”
”Got him boss. A steal too, Luton’s bid was £8m and was rejected. Anyway, meet Dan”
”Dan??”
That was a shock as I thought the link was £8.5m, not £850,000!!
850k sounds a superb fee for Udoh doesn't it?
Not sure we're quite big time enough to be asking more for rotational players just yet!
I stand corrected. I looked at headline and assumed it was about Kone. Senior moment
I love Dan Udoh, but I'd be absolutely baffled if he went to Burnley for that kind of fee. Not a chance imo.

I was thinking about the amount of discordant discourse their recruitment and subsequent absence gave rise to on the Gasroom.
