I like a bet, but I'm not sure betano.com is for me. I've heard from a "friend" that Wycombe have requested information regarding Bertelsens work permit situation.
Would be interesting to understand whether Bertelsen would actually qualify for a work permit. Bristol Rovers tried to appoint a German coach recently but weren’t able to do so as he didn’t meet the criteria.
Look at a photo of Wycombe vs Met Police 35 years ago. The players, management, ground and staff are no longer here. But God knows how many people on this forum were at the game. The fans are forever and everybody else is passing through.
I’ve been on the government website for skilled workers and this is not classified as one. It is occupation code 3432 if you want to have a look. Maybe they are checking if any relatives are from the UK
That’s me as I love a good work permit query. So it seems to be under the UK points based immigration system. For the many overseas managers here, they must…
International sportspeople must also have a confirmed job offer and their employment sponsored by a UK employer licenced by the Home Office. Additionally, they must have an endorsement from the relevant governing sports body.
Maybe they are checking on an endorsement from whatever sports body that is. For transparency I am not ITK
I think in this case the relevant governing body would be the FA - so we could be waiting months. I'd guess Wycombe are already licensed by the home office due to foreign players being at the club. And the Danish Superliga probably counts as a 'top league' for the purposes of a work permit.
They definitely have licences for both skilled workers and international sportspeople. I’ve just checked on the government list and they sit nicely underneath Wycombe Traders Limited who can only take on skilled workers

Why is Mr Whing still 3rd favourite when he was appointed at Barrow 3 days ago?
Because bookies' odds are bollocks

Remake has jumper woman hear that Wycombe have made a work permit enquiry and sticks 100 Euros on. She makes a......
Fucking hell its got a bit spicy on here! I went to work.... and came home to a riot!
Seems a big divide in opinions on the subject in hand.... was likely always going to happen.
Surely we are now at "it is what it is" territory?
Everyone has said their piece.
We can't change what has happened or why it has happened.
We still have a club.... we still have us.
Time to move on from bickering.
Come on ladies and gents. We are all a bit tetchy because things are changing fast and we are heading in a direction we are certainly not used to.
For now all we can do is support the lads and wish them all the luck and success they deserve..

That's not something you do for a manager (read: Head Coach) who's turned you down. Sounds like this one could have legs.
My thoughts too.

I mean, we've presumably got work permits for the two Danish players we just signed, so it can't be that difficult.
Struggle to believe all of the foreign managers In the league have British grandparents, must be more too it.
Only two foreign managers in L1 I believe, and both spent large chunks of their playing careers in England
Didn’t we sign them using ESC slots because we couldn’t get work permits?
It's quite an interesting (for saddos like us) subject.

Goodness knows, but we better get a wiggle on

The score you get when you use their names in a game of scrabble
Better tweet that.
Does anyone remember Egil Olsen? He took over Wimbledon after Joe Kinnear and it was an utter disaster.
Wellington boots were his trademark

Wasn’t he meant to be a long ball specialist manager and actually made them worse?
How’s the golf?
Don’t remind me.

You had to remind me….
