This window never ceases to amaze, sounds like there could be more still to come.
Hear me out, but is there a chance we don’t actually see many of these signings starting in the near future? It’s a great problem to have, but who comes out?
The Danes need to get up to match fitness, but Berry has been playing every week for Chesterfield with 10 goals this season. Rice doesn't pick the team (be quiet conspiracy theorists) but we aren't paying this money for players to sit on the bench for an extended period...
I'd expect Taff, Wheeler, Butcher, Hanlan all to leave in the next week, and I'd expect Lubala and Leahy to find themselves becoming more accustomed with the bench.
Absolutely. Berry could easily start on Saturday, I expect Lowry signed as more of a development player with a view to replacing Humphrey’s when his loan deal ends.
Lowry won't have swapped Rangers reserves for training with us and the odd game against Beaconsfield before going out to the conference on loan. I suspect he'll be in consideration and around the first team if not an absolute first choice.
We have spent a hell of a long time building a huge cultural identity. It would be utterly absurd to bring in 4-5 new players and immediately throw out the existing cohort, those that got us into 2nd place in the first place.
It is very important for the long term success and continuation of our culture that we bring these players in gradually without alienating the ones that got us here in the first place.
In and around the first team yes, exciting option off the bench but I don’t see him starting instead of Humphrey’s who has been outstanding for us this season. I don’t envy the guys picking the team now though, it’s just got a lot harder.
Humphreys is our ‘best’ player - the one who could feasibly play at the highest level today. I’ll be amazed if he comes out of the team. He’s a mid table Championship player at least.
Agree with Lowry. Can't see him in the starting XI just yet. More of an impact sub, with the hope that he develops and pushes on and starts more next season. No way I can see him taking Humphreys place in the team.
Berry on the other hand should be pushing for starts and will provide Fred with competition. Although I was hoping Sadlier would be fit soon!

Welcome James.
Looks like an exciting prospect 💙🩵
I know the team would not realistically line up like the below for various reasons, but the fact that we could, makes the head spin!
Ravizzoli
Grimmer
Hajelskjaer
Bradley
Harvie
Westergaard
Lowry
Humphreys
Berry
Kone
Udoh
this transfer window is something else
Squad number 38.
the dream is still alive.
Surely some will leave. As my friend pointed out we now have 3 teams!
Sure I saw someone say that with Lowrys signing we had a full squad and now with Berry signing we are obviously one over that.
Some will have to go if we want to name all these new players
Taf & Vokes to go into coaching?
And just like that, Scowen and McCleary are forgotten.
Lubala's goal to game ratio cannot be ignored either. I was surprised when I saw his stats the other day. All from the wing too.
The Twitter replies from Spireites on the announcement tweet are something special. They are VERY complimentary of him. Exciting.
Bloody hell, we've never experienced anything like this

His nickname’s Bez by the looks of things. That could get confusing.

I don't think we would or should play that team, just illustrating how much our squad has changed within a couple of weeks. My dream lineup is still:
Ravizzoli
Grimmer
Low
Bradley
Harvie
Scowen
Lowry/Westergaard (whichever one turns out to be better)
Humphreys
Sadlier/Berry based on form
Kone (Lubala and Udoh backup)
Fred/McCleary based on form
That really is some team on paper, isn't it? Keep hod of Kone and Low, and it's going to be one hell of an end to the season.
not for me ...my team
Franco
Jack
Low
Bradley
Harvie
Humphries
Scowen
Westergard
Fred
Kone
Berry
Subs
Bishop
Hajel
Bakinson
Butcher
Leahy
Udoh
Lowry
Wow - we could park the bus and commit all our attackers forward!

He looks a good signing tbh, and yes pretty much all Chesterfield fans are being very complimentary abut him
10 goals from a wide position already this season is outstanding.
Hard not be quite excited about the recruitment in this window.
More exited with Berry over lowry

I expect both Berry and Lowry to be on the bench on Saturday.

Agreed. I think only Bradley and Berry will be regular starters. Magnus possibly but will take a few weeks to get up to fitness.
If Imray does come in though I would expect him to go straight into the starting 11.

I agree with you, but nothing in the last 2 weeks has suggested the people in charge care about that cultural identity
