I never thought I would want to emulate Oxford, but Liam Manning left them left season in the autos, they fell to 6th, and then won the playoffs. It is doable!
I have been quoted by Luton fans - even at 46, I feel I have peaked too early!
And their original quote was still hilarious. No-one is desperate to get to Luton! Though as of right now it is a better gig than Millwall was, and the Guardian claims Blooms interviewed for that one too.
If I'm honest I think that's a weird appointment for Luton. They are in a relegation fight. Bloomfield is untested in the Championship and doesn't seem to be the sort of manager to fire up a team quickly. Nor does he seem likely to be willing to take a pragmatic approach and simplify their game to grind out results.
And indeed may have already been wandering round the training ground - the bloke with the fade hair cut, skinny jeans, big puffa coat and those blue trainers with thick white soles.
Oh wait that could be any one of twenty of Team Dan acolytes.
No doubt there is a manager lined up in guessing we will never know the truth of what has happened behind closed doors. Should Bloomfield swallow his pride and accept data driven signings are happening and just stick with it . My worry is he will be sacked in 6 months at Luton , he has had a lot of money compared to Gaz to be able to have the squad we have. So not sure Luton is the answer for him and the pressure that will come with it, yes we play good football but again is the style of play also dictated behind the scenes .
I will now look for the Danish words for "the process", "alignment", "synergy" and "outcomes", as I really want to be able to understand the first interview.
To be fair, most managers back themselves, and Luton are also massively underperforming their (ducks) expected points (12th), much like Coventry, which I saw as a great job for the same reason. They need galvanizing, not wholesale changes, to get back up there.
QPR was a much worse spot, as they had a terrible squad of demotivated players who did not suit Ainsworth's preferred style - he was in the position of trying to stage a rock concert with depressed ballerinas, basically.
I feel the last part of the GA culture is leaving the building today.
We’ve had a decade of dignity, respect for officials, other teams and have held our heads high. I don’t want to be another moaning club blaming players, officials etc.

Can't go bigger than Steve Evans
I’d take Dishy Dez
Bit of a strange one if Blooms does go Luton not much of a step up from Wycombe imo. Hey ho will be very intresting to see who comes in.
Blooms has gone to big school now and we can only pray for him.
Well no-one at this time of year. Parp.
(shows how stressed we all are that no-one swung on that until now)
Des Buckingham, Andy Woodman or Darren Moore for me from that bookies list.
So here's a question - who will be the interim? JMac has badges but has left. Vokesy?

Surely Sam Grace if it’s only one or two games?
The next manager might have been waiting to take over for a while....
(dramatic dots, there)
I’d love to have him, but isn’t he still at Bristol city?
Edit - misread, sorry.
On the Lu-on forum they quoted your post saying they were dropping like an anvil!
And said this scenario is similar to when Stoke stole their manager when Luon were going well in league 1 themselves.
BUT, they claim at least they've asked permission rather than tapping up
Good point - the ownership group have actually mentioned him by name too, so he is on the approved list.

He'll go with Blooms
Doubt it.
He seems to be outside the main coaching gang and has a distinct role on development.
Just a hunch but I reckon the new owners have had the new manager lined up from day one
and I also wouldn't be surprised if few of us have ever heard of him
Correct on both counts I’d say.

Andrew Crofts or Mat Sadler?
Gustav Wind?

What tempted you to come to Wycombe?
”Yes I’ve always wanted to do the process in England”

Velkommen to Wycombe will be a hit in Denmark, at least.
