Had planned on coming down for tonight's game but decided earlier today not to risk it in these conditions plus Ellis would of been freezin.
Will watch on the tele with the 3 kids , hopefully we can put in a better performance than the last couple of home games. Don't want to be critical as we're doing so well and in a great position but felt we let Blackpool & Exeter dictate the pace of the game especially in the first half and it was like watching a training game at times.
Tbf I’d given Benyon the benefit of the doubt because he was from Wycombe and had a reasonable strike rate at Torquay. Silly me. He still doesn’t give me as many nightmares as Onijube and Styche though.
The Terriers’ fans seem to be worried about the robustness of their side and drained energy levels. We’ve got to hit them hard and early.
I've been really impressed with the way Kone has improved his ball shielding/target man work this season.
I recall thinking early this season that defenders too easily levered him out the way. He looked way more comfortable receiving it back to goal in a wide position and on the move, rather than static centrally.
Recently he's done a good job of holding off imposing defenders and making the ball stick when it's lifted into him in the centre circle.
Partly down to better long passing meaning we're dropping balls closer to his feet than his head.
Completely agree on all counts. I think he’s improved so much since even the beginning of this season, let alone last season. He ripped Piergianni apart against Stevenage and I haven’t seen him get torn apart like that ever! He’s a superb centre half for this league and Kone made him look very silly at times.
I was saying this as well - the Kone of Wrexham away and the Kone of Saturday afternoon are almost two different players. Remarkable how much he has grown, and frightening how good he can become.
His performances against Stevenage and Charlton were frighteningly good. He can hold it up. Run in behind. Engage high up the pitch. Win aerials. Run channels. He has the occasional Bayo glue first touch (albeit mixed in with some less able ones). He’s not far off a complete striker for Championship level. In current form he’s way above League 1 level. But I want to see him do this over a bigger sample size of games. I want him to attack crosses better. I want him to link up play slightly better. I want his left foot to improve. At these points I’m taking liberties though. He’s already absolutely fantastic. Scary to think how good he will be next season, let alone in 3-5 years.
It will be interesting if Bradley starts tonight or on the bench. We need to dictate the pace of the game , which has been missing the last couple of games. Going to be a tough game.
I'd take a draw too to be fair. I was hoping to go tonight but I'm full of flu so will be watching in bed praying for us to pull out an almighty performance 🙏
I'm hoping for a really fast flowing and entertaining game with plenty of action so we can have something to shout about on the terrace, otherwise I fear I might wish I'd taken @ryan_w_kirkby2 course of action and stayed home to watch it on the TV.
There's a lot of no shows tonight. All valid reasons. Weather, back to school, etc. What should be a cracking top of the table clash is going to be a damp squib of a game attendance wise.

They've no right to, as we've played more games haven't we? The cheeky rascals had a game called off.
Definitely. An absolutely huge improvement in that area.
And a real improvement overall, as early on I didn't half think some of the usual suspects on the gasroom were overrating him.
He has a real knack of finding his teammates with layoffs too. He’s as good a mobile target man as I can remember us having.

Remember when it was unlikely Morley would play because he was leaving and his head would not be in the right place.

It's got a boring draw all over this one.

COYB!!!!
I expect him to start..... we will see though

COYB 🥶
Agreed.
I hope he starts and has one hell of a game finishing with motm. Shut the pessimists up for the evening at least 😆
Jordan Rhodes is unlikely to start tonight even with all the injuries they have.
Not scored for well over a year and 29 appearances in League One.
Let's make that 30 if he comes on.
You’re right. Jordan Rhodes plays for Blackpool.

I'm coming up to Goodison for Thursday's game - probably my farewell to the Old Lady.
🤣 That will teach me for reading the Huddersfield forum.
Talk about Rhodes coming on instead of the other strikers and him not having scored for over a year, me not fact checking and thinking the worst.
I am now convinced we will win.
I can’t make it tonight at stuck at work unfortunately.
It would be fascinating to know what our online ‘attendances’ are and how many are also ST holders or regular attendees.
Hopefully Jonny Pettitt in goal as well. Just to shit this place up.
No Grimmer or Pattenden in the starting XI. I'm assuming Harvie at RB? Low and Bradley both start.
Bishop on the bench as Shamal Geroge's partner has just given birth to twins.
Umm...is there a plan for RB?
Yes who is playing right back? No grimmer
So who is playing at right back?
