Charlton (A) tickets

Has this sold out already? The game has disappeared from the ticketing site.

  • All 1,000 have gone. It’s now pay on gate with a £3 surcharge

  • Ah cool, thanks - a rare downside of no longer being on Twitter!

  • Ryan Isaac (ticket manager on WWFC twitter) has assured others that there are more than enough available on the day.

  • Yeah, that away end is massive. Last time I went I think we 3/4 filled the front section, then there's loads more seats behind the concourse.

  • Pretty sure the capacity is around 3,000.

I hadn't event thought about getting a ticket in advance. £3 on top is quite annoying

  • Seems a daft practice, for a game people can just click a button to watch at home instead.

  • If WW have sold an initial allocation of 1,000 tickets at Charlton, the away end at the Valley can hold up to 3,000. That would be nice to fill it!!!

  • Bit of an incentive to book early so they have an idea how many are coming is nothing new. Can't see it changing anyone's mind when it's probably half a pint or about 4 chips.

Rather a measly initial allocation. Probably based upon what we usually take to the Valley. It'll be much more on Sunday though and getting tickets on the day is going to be a real pain. There often long queues even when it's a couple of hundred paying on the day. I wouldn't be surprised if we have something approaching 1000 travelling without tickets, so definitely well worth arriving early.

  • It amazes me that a club the size of Charlton can't just sell and issue tickets digitally like we do

  • Yep, I think the 2 people they have in the ticket hut at the Valley might be in for something of a shock on Sunday, they'll be inundated!

I'll be paying on the day and the no-one in the group I'm with bought in advance. Crazy that option isn't available online, 3 days ahead of the actual match!

  • I wanted to go but might not bother if I've got to get there that early just to have a chance of getting in

  • Well I'm hoping my "2 people in the ticket hut" comment turns out not to be true! That's usually OK for a couple of hundred pay on the day customers, but I'd be surprised and disappointed if we have less that 1500 there on Sunday and I have a feeling it might be closer to 2000. The fact that our initial allocation sold out well in advance should alert Charlton that there's a high demand for away tickets.

  • Anyone know if it's cash or cashless?

  • The website says this

The Chairboys sold out the initial allocation of 1000 tickets in the Jimmy Seed Stand at the Valley; fans will be able to pay on the day from the South Stand ticket office. Only card payments will be accepted. There will also be a price increase of £3 per adult ticket and £2 on any concession rate.’
