My mates lived on the river opposite Skindles and in the early 90’s I practically lived in the bar. Once Skindles closed at 11-12 we fell in to Studio Valbonnes or made the mile walk in to town to 5th Avenue or Smokies.
It just doesn't feel right Big Nige playing in a dark, wet, miserable industrial town. No comparison to playing at the end of a beautiful Buckinghamshire industrial estate.
What do they actually own? Their squad is unlikely to be worth anywhere near £8m.
This would probably normally be a £1 job ......unless it includes stadium, training ground etc and doesn't include honouring existing debt. Without knowing that, and if anyone else is interested it's very difficult to make any guess at what it's worth.
If he was having trouble with Dai and others previously though then offering them less than a third of what you'd previously discussed is an interesting tactic.
As Confucious said :- "The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... These are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.",, well that and not repaying a £44 million loan, oh and failing to mention to a potential buyer that you don't own the thing you're trying to sell them !

Happy Days indeed.
I went to all of these places, my god the memories.
I wonder if any of us were all there at the same time ?
I did go through a phase about that time of trying to look a bit like Midge Ure in the Vienna video,
If you saw a spotty kid with a pencilled on moustache wearing a freemans catalogue ladies raincoat ( I couldn’t find a man’s) that was me.
that means nothing to me….
Ahhh
Vienna
It meant nothing to most girls I met they wanted Simon le Bon , I looked a bit like a flasher
Didn’t help that the ladies’ raincoat was the only thing you were wearing.
Socks
Don't forget the suspenders!
Just put the Reading game on, doesn't look many there
Big Nige playing for Huddersfield.

Just over 11000 with 10500 home fans.
Probably. I was the one wandering round like a sad git which tbf doesn’t narrow it down
Major error by Nige for Readings equaliser.
A purple pair was all I was wearing on my last day at high school! 😳
Sorry misread
He’s a card you know and no mistake.
Wonder if Nick Freeman (sans catalogue) is at Mornington Crescent ?
That @EwanHoosaami’s been a bit of a lad, hasn’t he.
If that is actually the case hard to see why it dragged on so long before they said no.
Lots of people in the comments doubting the reality of this claim.

They seem to enjoy playing a game of 'good guy, bad guy' depending which side of the bed they wake up on.
Rob is the best worst potential owner they've ever had. "Yeah he's (not) a Royal!"
Vague rumour on Twitter claiming that Dai is now trying to sell the club to a Chinese group.
Out of the wok, into another wok.
wok could go wrong this time..
Things get murkier (and even less positive for Reading fans) - https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/oct/10/reading-owner-dai-yongge-debt-chinese-bank-sale
Seems Rob's deal was scuppered by Chinese bank debts.
