Sep 7th: Final round of Home Counties matches
With no WW game this coming Saturday it's a chance to see the final round of Home Counties cricket matches in both Division One & Two.
in Division One, the champions will probably come from the Henley v Finchampstead match. Aston Rowant are still in with a chance (at home to High Wycombe). Both Wokingham & Datchet are already relegated to Division Two. The leaders:
In Division Two it looks as though Buckingham & Bicester & North Oxford will go down but Amersham could be sucked into the relegation battle. Gerrards Cross were odds-on to join champions Harefield in Division One next season but woeful form has let in both Slough & Stoke Green. GX are now having to rely on other results to go their way if they are to have a chance of snatching the runners-up spot.

In a thrilling final day of the Home Counties Premier Cricket League Henley won the Division One championship by just a single point from previous leaders Finchampstead while High Wycombe finished 3 points behind in 3rd place. In the battle of the top two Henley came out winners over Finchampstead to claim the title. Datchet & Wokingham were both relegated to Division Two.
In Division 2 Harefield had already won the league but were joined by Stoke Green. Slough's match with Harefield was abandoned which ended Slough's hopes. Because Stoke Green won, Gerrards Cross's chances of promotion ebbed away despite winning at Buckingham. At the bottom Bicester & North Oxford's great win at Chesham ensured their safety while Amersham & Buckingham were relegated.
Some great cricket this summer despite so many weather problems. The Home Counties Premier League continues to provide excellent entertainment for cricket fans.
