struggling to keep up with ins and outs across the EFL now that the BBC have abandoned their formerly excellent daily synopsis in favour of the occasional headline (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/transfers). Can anyone recommend a site that provides a similar service which is not a total cookie/spam-fest?
The old style list is still behind it , you have to click on the link that doesn't look like a link but says "transfers - month' in bigger letters, no idea why they did that
As much as we all read so much into goals scored over previous seasons, a players perceived value and the price other clubs are willing to pay for these players....
At the end of the day its 11 talented blokes playing a game against another bunch of 11 talented blokes.
It's not set in stone. Our new signings might turn out to all have terrible seasons.... and our "past it' players like vokes and mcleary might hit a purple patch and their expertise and skills trump the rest!
Men vs men..... anything can happen. That's why it's so exciting!!
Telegraph journo reporting it as guaranteed £15m, plus £5m in add-ons, a 20% sell-on clause, and a £100k bonus if they are promoted to Championship. Silly money
Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but... (EDIT: doh...ok, it's in the transfer deadline day thread already. never mind)
Chem Campbell to Reading on loan. Heh.
He did actually have a good game against them last season though, so glad to see it isn't just us who does the whole, "signing a player who has an atypically good game against you" thing.

Isn’t there a spend cap in L1/2 that’s different to Championship?
They have also reportedly offered £6m for Jay Stansfield from Fulham.
So only 10 points behind us, then.
Seems that Chris Forino has missed the last three Bolton pre season friendlies through injury.
He is a very good young player but as we know, he is injury prone. Hope he can have a good season but not as good as us.

@StrongestTeam ¡thank you sir!
Nah, we’ve got Scowen and he cost nothing.

A shame, often injured.
With Peterborough about to be swimming in Toney cash I wonder if they will hit the market before the window closes.
Probably long mortgaged away but possible
Dale Taylor has moved to Wigan Athletic on loan.
Good luck to the lad, I liked Dale and he did well during his time with us.
Ah bugger it
Nigel Lonwijk has signed on loan for Huddersfield, wish him luck but...
I imagine still a decent figure but not as much as they could have got a while ago. £80m was being touted, now it is more like £30/40m
the next Virgil van Dijk, such a shame he's gone to a 'rival'.
was so much better when moving into the number 10 role, was not a striker
another one that got away
Lyndon Dykes in League 1?! signs for Birmingham on a permanent.
Jay Stansfield to Birmingham confirmed. I really hope it goes tits up for them this season. £12m.
If they don’t go up this season they’ll start next season in the Birmingham and District League.
What is it they say to actors?

BBC are saying 15 million with another potential 5 million in add-ons.
Though that post seems to have vanished now.
It is truly shocking how this is allowed to happen in League One. Football regulator needed asap.
2 teas please, Milk and 2 sugars.
I was unkindly, and perhaps inappropriately, suggesting "Break a leg".
