Other Teams Transfers
Some interesting deals being done now.
Alfie May leaving Charlton for Brum - cringe goodbye video when he cites the need to move back North to be closer to his family the reason and not the ton of cash he's been offered
Charlton sign Matt Godden and Gassan Ahadme (the latter for £1m)

I thought Ahadme was excellent against us for Cambridge last season and was hoping that Bloomfield's Ipswich connections might help us sign him. Didn't realise he'd cost a million quid!!
Those two teams should be competing near the top of the league.
Charlton have made a few good signings on paper, and as much as I dislike him, Jones is a good manager.
Copy paste for Rotherham as well
Birmingham have given May a boatload of cash for signing.
I have also been impressed by Ahadme in the past, but £1m is crazy money.
Oxford signing Louie Sibley from Derby is a coup. Not so long ago they were looking for mega money for him.
He rejected a contract from Derby and is a free agent.
His normal position as a midfielder was a problem at Derby and he could not get in the team in this position. For the last season and a half he has been playing mainly on the left side of defence.
He’s been at Derby for 14 years so a big change for him being a local lad too.
Danny Hylton on trial at Charlton. The rev and the diving king. Lovely.

i think we know at least one of the “qualities” the old boy brings to the party.
Our Dannies are better than your Danny so yah boo sucks (or words to that effect).
Morecambe have had their embargo lifted and promptly posted this on Twitter.
Just the 15 signings. In one day.
If you were in the Morecambe club shop at any time today there was a good chance of you getting a contract.
If you were in Morecambe at any time time there was a good chance of you getting a contract.
They've all been attracted by the cockles on offer!
No, they misheard someone say 'the manager is a cock'.
Enfield Town’s Marcus Wyllie has signed for Gillingham.
He’s been prolific for them over the last two seasons after signing from Risborough Rangers.
I wonder if Risborough Rangers got anything from the sale?
Interesting to see them sponsored by the living room of their lone supporter.
Birmingham set to spend £5m on Jay Stansfield from Fulham. That'll take their summer spend on strikers alone to £10.5m. Not sure how much they've spent in total. Ludicrous.
Madness in league 1.... let's all remember this fact when we put 3 past them. Home and away with no reply
If they don’t go up this season they’ll start next season on the Stoubridge and District League.
Infact it looks quite desperate tbh.
I guess when a reasonably sized club used to championship football, with occasional flirting with the PL finds itself in league 1.... I can see how desperately they may want out ASAP.... but they are spending silly money?!
I'm glad that even with a monied backer behind us, we appear to be doing business sensibly. I know people spout off about FFP but in league 1 there are loopholes that ML could make use of if he wanted to.
We could for example accept a 20mill sponsorship deal from Kasapi and play at the Stade de Kasapi this season
I think there are rules about reasonable/realistic amounts you can be sponsored for to stop exactly that but as ever, depends how well they're enforced.
You are probably right, but you get my point
Can’t recall seeing anything on here but Matt Ingram has signed for Oxford..
Have a peep at the Ex-players Thread, @oxblue.
Obviously Birmingham are the favourites this season, and their fans have high expectations, but isn’t it going to be brilliant watching them bottle it and spend the next 5 years rotting down here with minnows like Wycombe. In their fans eyes, obviously.
Maybe they’ll get a tv series out of it.
Like Wycombe used to, you surely mean.
I often see people saying “teams like Wycombe”…there’s been a recent example of a Birmingham fan on Twitter using us as an example of being the worst team in the league when we were in the Championship. Factually incorrect for one, and our record against them that season was 4 points from a possible 6!
Birmingham have signed Marc Leonard from Brighton for half a million
They are going to be an absolute joke next season. 100+ points
