Who will be our new chairman
With Dan Rice appointed as interim chairman, who do we think could be our new chairman.
My preference would be someone with extensive knowledge of the game and equally as extensive knowledge of the way our club is run.
Not many fit that bill but maybe @glasshalffull may be tempted to take up the challenge?

I'd go for @trevor!
A Gasroomer as a chairman would be sen-sational!
Instead of voting on grounds we could vote on which crisp flavours to stock!
Sometimes he can barely get a word in without the drone army going nuts. Imagine being chairman on top!
what does the Chairman actually do (in an organisation controlled by one or a handful of people)?
Gets the best seat!
It's just a name for a grown up Chairboy.
Another thought regarding chairmen, just imagine if Rob is a member of the consortium buying Reading FC and they are successful and appoint him chairman.
Then we get Reading at home in our first league fixture of the season. That would be very interesting.
Although I don’t think he would really get involved with Reading.
Not sure I see the issue @Blue_since_1990
Steve Baker’s likely to have time on his hands shortly. And like most MPs, he’s not averse to a free corporate seat.
Where would he sit?
The Mayor of Wycombe.
By default he must be the head Chair Man (or woman)
I'd go for a legend someone like Tony Horseman, Len Worley, Andy Kerr, Rowan Dodds....
Its actually quite an important appointment given the owner is several thousand miles away and we don’t have a CEO.
Needs a steady hand on the tiller.
Bayo!
Jeremy Vine
Did someone mention that Martin O’Neill lives fairly locally these days?
Joe. Jacobson.
Surely this is a job made for uncle Ivor isn't it?
(I'm joking)
Nick Freeman
Henning wehn ist prima .
I heard that Alan Pardew was in the running.
Altho isn't that the case for most footballing jobs?
Howard Jones. Or Jed.
He’s just started a football podcast with Clive Tyldesley, called ‘The Football Authorities’, if anyone fancies a listen
Thank goodness I was able to skim read what threatened (when I saw the huge number of new posts) to be a bit of a drag.
Surely the new Chair will be a close associate of Mr Lomtadse ?
Isn’t it Lomtadze? 😁
I think it is. But a bit harsh to give me a thumbs down for an honest mistake.
It wasn’t my thumbed down. As I’ve said before, I would rather answer.
Someone must have disagreed with the content as opposed to the incorrect spelling.
Yep, it's very easy to make a little typo on a phone, that's for sure.
What's Beeksy's role these days? Thought he was still some sort of chairman type title?!
