@LX1 What I mean is that you bring a lot to the forum, valid posts and good discussion. Going down a rabbit-hole of if Bargepole is a troll or whatever is clearly going to just go back & forwards & you might say something you regret which will lower your standing within the Gasroom community
Bargepole sometimes makes posts to get a reaction but they are so obvious you can practically hear him trying to stifle his giggles when he makes them. It's not proper trolling.
Now AinsworthSillyShoes, that was a troll account but in no way related to Bargepole at all......
Just put him on ignore @LX1 - not worth the agro, just rise above it. There are a few on here who just post to get a reaction. You have contributed to the greatly to the Gasroom so don’t be driven away. I have blocked one such wind up merchant and the silence is golden. 👍
So with no Chem, Lubala or Kudua to call upon for the Final we have a dilemma up top. Will we continue with Kone as the focal point or will Vokes get the nod.
Leahy for all his talent is struggling against fast pacy wingers and Peterborough have Poku, who is now back from injury and has scored three goals this month. He did not play against us in mid February.
With Lowe and KVY injured the Leahy dilemma looks like it will be solved by Forino playing CB and Lonwijk playing LB. Will he go with this combo from the start or risk Leahy for the first half?
If Lowe and KVY remain injured then I would go with.
Rav
Lonwijk
Taf
Forino
Grimmer
Potts
Sadlier
Scowen
Butcher
Taylor
Kone
Its a real dilemma for Matt with the following players either injured or cup tied.
Chem
Lubala
Kodua
Lowe
Wheeler ( Injured or dropped from the matchday squad yesterday after his red card against Barnsley)
McCleary
Earley
Hanlan
KVY
JJ (Not sure if injured or not)
Wakeley
We are down to the bare bones for the Final unless we can get some injured players back in the next week.
Bloomfield did confirm in his pre match interview that both Low and McCleary were back training again. Wouldn't be surprised to see them have a run out against Blackpool.
Big call on the keeper on Monday. Rav has done well, but looked shaky yesterday. I guess Max might get the opportunity on Monday to reclaim his spot.
I think the three cup-tied players should be given a start against Blackpool, to give a rest to as many potential finalists at Wembley as possible.
I agree with @Blue_since_1990 's suggested XI, except that I'd start with Kone, who will thrive in the open spaces of the stadium, and maybe bring on Vokes for the last 15-20 minutes. Also have Leahy and JJ on the bench, to bring on late if penalties look likely.
In my defence I would argue that Matt Ingram isn't a 'run-of-the-mill' former player, having been born and schooled in High Wycombe and having come through our youth system. One of our own.

@bargepole is almost certainly a troll. However I do enjoy, on the whole, what he brings to the gasroom.
There is no excuse for abuse @LX1
Has the meaning of 'internet troll' changed?

Low, Wheeler and McCleary all likely to be fit. They trained post-match yesterday.
I would be astonished if Max isn't in goal after yesterday
Max
Grimmer - Low - Taf - Lonwijk
Butcher, Potts, Scowen
McCleary, Vokes, Sadlier

I think it’s obvious that we need to bring in a new number one in the summer if we want to improve as a team next season.
Matt Ingram can’t even get on the bench at Hull so he would be the one that I’d go for.
I'm with you there. Would love to see Matt back.

No classic Gasroom ‘the only option worth considering is someone who once played for us’ call for ages, then two come along at once. #londonbuses
Matt Ingram is the only goalkeeper who exists outside of Wycombe Wanderers, didn't you know?
I think Max is still a perfectly decent League One goalie.
Oldboys returning is always good for morale. Well, the right old boys obviously.
But there has to be every chance we get a new number 1 for next season.
Assuming that Max is out of contract. We never truly know with this club.
I always understood that the dimensions of the Adams Park pitch were originally identical to the Wembley pitch. GA narrowed it slightly of course.
Imaginative use of the word ‘slightly’ there

Though he is still under contract until June 2025. Max also has another year as a minimum.
I can't see us having two high earner goalkeepers, Max is perfectly capable at League One level and I'd have him for another year at least.
What makes you think Max is a high earner?
