After a shaky start, we slowly settled into the game & our confidence grew especially after our first and for a nice change their lateish consolation goal didnt rattle us overly. We were still dropping too deep from the 70th mnute or so but our back 4 & Max definitely had the measure of them.
Not a perfect performance by any means but a massive step forward. Butcher fitted the description perfectly from Plymouth fans, nothing showy but does a great shift. This allowed all those around him to be creative and that unlocked our attackers.
Low was motm for me. Lots for love for GMac but Low was a mountain.
You have to fight fire with fire. You won’t get far playing pretty carpet football against a team like that. As I said during the first half, we went full GA. And it worked.
Not gonna shoot you down but I disagree. I thought we came out with some drive but lacking in confidence, and then rather grew in that respect as the game went on. Not exactly a sparkling performance, but probably a really good performance for the players’ psyches.
Very pleased with that result. Hopefully it can be a catalyst to build for the rest of the season.
Must be a huge weight of the players shoulders and they can enjoy the drive back along the A40. They deserve to blow off a bit of steam before getting back on it Monday morning.

Really good away day and Joe Low was absolutely superb, thank god we didn’t sell him. COYB!!!!!
I know I might get shot down for this but I saw the game in the following way:
Their poo was worse than our poo, but it was poo football on offer!

Expect a ‘substantial bid’ incoming with comments like that!
Seems a long long time since I’ve been able to relax on a Saturday with that warm 3-points feeling
Don't you mean that warm 'number 2' feeling?
Have you seen the movie Triangle of Sadness? Highly recommended if not.
Haven't heard 'blow off' since schooldays but top work
For those of us that have had kids, this word brings back some horrible memories! They always seem to happen in the unseen hours of the day!
And ageing parents
The first Green poonami was a shock
like biden and trump...
