A while back someone on here (sorry, forgot who) made the very good suggestion that the club should open just the top tier of the Frank Adams rather than just the lower tier (or neither like Tuesday).
I wonder if we could try that for this game and see if it helps entice a few extra people along seeing as it’s a cup quarter final.
Very disappointing to be drawn away to Brighton but not play the match at the Amex. A fabulous stadium & it would have been lovely to see Wycombe play there. I’ve watched Wycombe at the Goldstone Ground, Withdean Stadium and the Amex would have made a great hat-trick. Never mind, we’ll just have to concentrate on getting to the Area Final, then the Final of this often maligned competition.
Let’s make a big thing of this & not close half the ground! With the Premier League baying for the end of the League Cup the EFL Trophy will become the only realistic avenue for L1 & L2 clubs to get to Wembley in a cup competition.
The area final thing got scrapped years ago. There'd have been a case for playing it at the Amex if we'd been drawn against actual Brighton - but it's their kids.
I really want to win this. It is also amusing that if we do, we would have beaten as many U21 sides as senior sides (4 apiece). Our pilot way of telling the PL where they can stuff their development squads!
Squad players and injury returnees get real(ish) match time, coaches get to see fringe player attributes in game, reserve keeper gets a run out, the odd bit of scouting, U23 oppos unlikely to inflict malicious injury, decent financial reward for success. Seems like a no brainer to me.
Oh and to keep the economics real, just leave the white elephant stand closed, sorry guys.
I'm guessing it will be the case but can anyone confirm if Kudoa will be cup tied for the rest of the tournament? cant find the rules anywhere online but I'm guessing it will be the same as any other cup competition
I notice one or two people are having difficulty with the spelling of Gideon Kodua’s surname. I eventually got it right by remembering that the first three letters sounded like something you’d have with chips.
Provided you can still afford it. I reckon what mainly tends to be served these days is a load of pollock.

But we will be at home because Brighton’s games are all away.
Glad to play them at home I think Brighton are the only U21 team that have hosted games. They played Reading at the Amex in the last round
I was adding that in my edit, our posts must have crossed!
Why was that? I thought U21s had to play all their games away.
Bradford v Doncaster/Wigan and Blackpool v Bolton in the northern section
How does the next round work? Still split into northern/southern? 1 game or 2 legs etc? Thanks.
Open draw, not regionalised - one leg

So did I. Maybe something was happening at the Madjeski, or whatever it’s called now.

The Select Car Leasing Stadium. Rolls right off the tongue...
I saw Wycombe play near the Withdean a couple of times, never quite in it.

I dunno. Playing at least one of them has resulted in a loan signing, either directly or indirectly.
Seems a good scouting opportunity if nothing else of value from the competition

Perfect season to have a real go at this cup.
Hopefully we deal with Brighton u21s like we have previously u21s.
There is far too much light-hearted optimism on this thread...is this really the Gasroom?
Only for this cup.
Experienced gasroomers still recognise a miserable struggle ahead in the league 😜
yep

Yes cuptied

That's the same for Chem Campbell as he played for Charlton earlier in the competition
@micra My mnemonic is a mixture of Fleetwood Town (Kod Army) and Dua Lipa (with one letter overlapping).
Brilliant.
My trick is to spell it exactly as it is pronounced, which is Kodua
That’s ok if you’ve heard it pronounced.
And, in any case, you can’t trust them commentators. Especially Jonathan Pearce.
Cod You Are
I'm not sure many will take the bait here @micra
