Is anyone else getting strong 19/20 vibes with the "hardly any players in first training session" followed by "quantity and quality of signings in short space of time that makes our heads spin?"
Had you heard about many of the players we signed at the start of the season we played Southend in the play-off final? I hadn’t but they all turned out to be gems.
Yes I give you Pierre and Hayes but I certainly didn’t know any of the others really. I may have seen one or two of them play against us but they didn’t stand out as someone who I would remember.
A bit like the comments above, the four newest signings all came with a lot of "too good for Wycombe, surely?" type comments, which is why I am more hopeful than if they were all coming from the National League with "Great upwards move for him!" type comments.
Obviously all to be decided on the pitch, but seems positive so far.
Leahy and KVY are both well renowned players at this level! Add in Boyes who played 30(ish) games in League One last year, and that's plenty of pedigree! We are having a superb Summer.
I think this window is perhaps feeling even better because we have all known it would be a big transition, so there has been so much uncertainty as to exactly who would leave. As it is, we lost Wing, Gape, Obita and Thompson (not to mention Mehmeti earlier) and then came into this window having no idea about budget and level of target. I think all that (for me) is making it more pleasing that we seem to be quite ambitious so far.

Looks like another astute signing. Brilliant Matt 👍👍
MB is running out of microphones to drop. Well played sir! And welcome, Kane!
game changer this, if he stay fit the upgrade and ceiling is so huge. signed an asset of value if all goes well.
I like what I see here.
A thoroughly nice bloke too, according to Ipswich fans

I am.
Not to slightly dampen your hype, but had you genuinely heard of any of these players before we signed them? :)
Keogh aside obvs.
They seem to think we’ve done well here…even “too good for Wycombe”…!

Well pickle me walnuts as someone once said. Wasn't expecting another signing today!
Loved the way the notification from the app was worded - had me spitting out my tea!
JJ, Pierre and Hayes were all very well known players.
Paris and Jombati perhaps known as well? Mawson was the huge unknown, and best of the lot.
Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping all these signings are genius of course.

Let's hope you're right, and Bloomy fuses a Gormania style of play, with a Gaz level of game management.

I remember when Reece Stryche got a radio car interview for signing with us! Blimey we’ve come a long long way since then. COYB’s
All positivity justified or your money back. And I don't want this thrown back in my face when we are 19th after 10 games!
Both the other permanent signings, not the loanees, but that's not surprising.
Sounds like a classic Wycombe signing - injury-prone, but we've managed them well historically, so I'm optimistic!

After the managerial change over last season, I'm starting with aspirations with
1) Win on a Saturday
2) Win 2 games in a row.
If we can tick both off early season, we could be onto something.
Agreed! We don't want Mr. Wycombe becoming known as Mr. Weekday.
Two words Michael Duberry. In fact I’ll give you another 2, Daryl Horgan. Give me an under the radar signing any day.
Let's not start the Horgan debate again.
Even today there's gasroomers who are adamant he was quality for us.

Forino to QPR?
KVY is potentially a star signing for us. Well done Matt (and probably Keogh). Things are starting to look good!
Yes, who needs big name players!
Tell you what, if Forino does go to QPR, they’ve done a fantastic job at softening the blow
