Some excellent goals but the clean sheet really is the stand out for me. I’ve been obviously vocal in my concerns at the back but that’s a great 90 mins under the belt for Forino, Mawson and Max. As well as the fullbacks obviously
i’ve not been as concerned about going forward as many, or seen the need for a Bayo replacement, as I think we have goals everywhere so a solid defence will do us just fine. Well done everyone.
Nothing against Forino who we all hope is on a development curve to being a really good player, but the idea of a Mawson-Tafa combo is just mouthwatering stuff and one that has the potential to be our best ever league history combination.
Although maybe I'll wait until they've played ONE game together for such a wild comment 😉
Superb second half. Excellent result. With due respect to Dickinson, how important was it to have a more experienced keeper. Have to say didn’t expect that result at 2.55pm.
Never expected that. I’m absolutely delighted. Time to really kick on. We should be well up there with the talent we have in our team (when a large majority are fully fit!)
Very glad to see lots of other people have the same warmth of feeling for Nick that I do. There’s always been a poetic grace about the way he plays that has had me wanting him to succeed.
Barnsley we’re a bit ropey today, weren’t they, and the ref owed us no favours at the end, but that was very enjoyable.
The key was the two early saves from Max. He looked very assured and confident throughout.
Mawson and Scowen were awesome and all three of our goals were really class.
The Mehmeti miss was amazing but that doesn’t matter and his first half goal was another of his excellent finishes taking on 4 or 5 defenders. I just want the transfer deadline to pass quickly to ensure we keep him with us.
Wing was totally anonymous in the first half, but found space and was pretty much involved in everything in the 2nd.
Scowen was absolutely superb, his zest and energy, simply drained the oppositions midfield.
I think we still need to bring in an expeirenced centre half before the deadline. As only 3 at the club, and 2 have chequered injury careers and the other a work in progress.
Max was MOTM for me, made some cracking saves early on. I know i'm about to make a very cliche comment, but If some of them had gone in could have been a very different game.

Two goalkeeping debuts - two clean sheets - can we sign a new keeper every week?
Yay, Well done lads and thanks from Mrs Ital who won’t have to put up with the grumpy old git, on to the next game.
definitely re. Mawson, obviously we knew what he could do already but it's great to see him put in a display of that calibre.
Cracking second half performance and great debut for Max. Hopefully a turning point.
In the history of football, I am genuinely wondering if any other team has missed from an inch and scored from 40 yards in the same game!
Yeah I'd imagine a few fresh faces for the Bristol game definitely

Gape back, McCarthy back, new keeper great game.
Things look a million times more rosy now.
Midweek is a bit of a pressure free freebie, but hopefully it's taken the pressure off, and bought us another week to get Taf and Vokes back.
Hopefully at least Taf is close ish from what Gaz said before this game.
Marvellous scenes, what a win.
Need to get everyone for but we're a match for anyone in this league
Almost easy to forget that miss now.
Imagine if we'd conceded an equaliser and not won! Sheash!
Love this team. And we look totally different with an experienced goalkeeper.
Superb performance, three excellent goals and the perfect birthday present for me-thanks boys!
P.S. Early days I know, but I thought our inadequate new goalkeeper looked more than adequate.

Happy birthday mate i hope our result helps you to celebrate it in style.

Who needs strikers!
A game to forget...and quickly? nah, you're all right, thanks:

I have a relative who works at Barnsley Football Club. The E mail is on it’s way……….

It's going to come back to haunt you
We were too up and at ‘em for them to be anything but ropey. That match will linger long in the memory.
Generous praise for the goals, though.
It's the last line that is just woeful isn't it.
Relishing contributing next to nothing to the cause.

Not sure we can afford another centre half in terms of the squad size limit. We already have 3 strikers out injured and couldn't play any today!
