The capacity at AP is 9448, so they were 900 short of a full house, less any seats taken over from Sky cameras.

The club stated at 1.30pm only 350 tickets were still available. This clearly was wrong unless our capacity is now down to 8800’ish??

  • Only one clear winner - @Onlooker with a prediction of 8600 was 77 away from the actual very very encouraging attendance of 8523.
    Congratulations on a excellent prediction.
Nobody else was within 100, although several people will have improved their average in the 'Tour de Season' win a signed shirt competition.

Nothing yet on how many tractor persons left saddened or indeed if any left cheerful.

Looking forwards: it is now reasonable to think that Oxford at home on March 21st will be a sell out, and that Bristol Rovers at home on Feb 8th plus Wimbledon and Gillingham at home at the end of the season will be 7000+, Rotherham at home on April 4th could also be a very attractive game depending on their position.

In the League One clubs home attendances table for this season we are currently 17th with an average of 5953. Last season we ended up 16th in that table with 5388. However we are very close to being mid table, being only around 230 a game behind Southend and Coventry and 330 behind Shrewsbury.

    Onwards and Upwards to Sunderland.
