Re: Other Football
I'm genuinely not doing this just to be a wind up merchant but can no-one else see that he first makes contact with the Wolves player with his studs halfway up the inside of his lower leg?
I can easily see why it was given as a red card. Think a lot of people are getting persuaded by the hyperbolic punditry that seems to be surrounding it
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
That is the concern.
It didn't sound ideal that we'd have to wait 2months until they arrived anyway as it's a big ask for a development guy and Vokes to keep the promotion train on track.
So at least we'd be getting someone in soon this plan b way, but like you say let's really hope there's a strong plan!
As this season being scuppered by off the pitch stuff would be horrible.
Re: Man of the Match - Northampton (H)
Fubar is a military acronym like Snafu. F’d Up Beyond All Recognition.
(“Situation Normal: All F’d Up” for Snafu btw)
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
Define success? He had a great 11 months. There is no denying that.
But we didn’t win anything and to some that would be a pre-requisite for success.
He was 100% on course to be. But he wasn’t in the successful bracket yet, for me.
The second half of this season could have been as abject as the first half of last season. (I don’t think it would have been, but you never know.)
Re: Man of the Match - Northampton (H)
The stats for December don’t quite add up and I’m not sure what “…Matt’s hire was sacked…” means but, apart from that, a very interesting post.
PS I don’t know what sports science fires are either.
Re: Richard Kone signs
I genuinely couldn't believe how good he was when he came on yesterday. And I still think there's improvement yet to come?
I just selfishly hope, purely because I love watching him play, he stays at least until the end of the season
I also think that if he does, we finish second
Re: Richard Kone signs
Not sure this BFP story says much tbh but wanted to bump this thread because…
a) just how good is Richard Kone? (it’s a rhetorical question, he’s sensational)
b) is he our greatest ever signing? (hats off to the recruitment team, the data must’ve been off the charts)
c) hearing rumours of bids in the region of £12-£13m potentially in the offing. Not only is that insane (would smash the £££’s received for Jordon Ibe) but it would more than cover the cost of the fees we’ve shelled out this month.
Championship Manager Dan wouldn’t sell, would he?
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
I notice “successful” manager doesn’t factor into your equation.
