Re: Rumour Mill
Call me a dreamer, but I like to imagine Lomtadze huddled in front of a screen in his bunker in Astana watching Wanderers TV every week - leaping for joy when the winner went in on Tuesday and swearing on everything he owns that Kone is never for sale.
Re: Caleb Taylor returns until end of season..... Discuss
Dropping Sonny Bradley would be quite a call wouldn't it? Wouldn't wanna be Sam Grace!
Re: Random sightings of our players outside of football
I saw El-Abd walking along the slip road by the sports centre hours before his transfer out.
I see a pattern emerging here.
I’m staying home until deadline day in case I bump into Kone.
Re: Other Football
You can tell there is an undertone of trepidation about playing us twice in the Champo next season!
Re: Rumour Mill
I am genuinely not the slightest bit worried about Kone, especially after the comments from he and Sam Grace after Barnsley.
Re: Culture Corner
It's terrible I know...but when I see band names like that...I just think Tw*ts.
Re: Rumour Mill
Luton are reported to have agreed a deal of £1.5M for Alli from Exeter so maybe they have got the message at long last.
Re: Rumour Mill
That offer suggests a level of desperation from Luton who I suspect have put all of their eggs in the Kone basket.
For Wycombe - it’s clearly not just a case of being £7m richer (and actually £4m as has been noted), but also how much this would derail our promotion push and therefore negatively impact our financials in the long term.
Promotion is worth more than the possible £7m we’d get for Kone, so I can’t really see a world where we accept that offer (unless of course we’ve been spending the Kone money during Jan, but again I can’t see that as we’d have made an effort to replace him).
Ultimately I don’t take this personally with Matt - football is a business and his loyalties ended with us when he moved on. It’s also highly unlikely he’s the one making the calls to Dan (although I’d love to be a fly on the wall if he was).

Years ago (between 1998 and 2002) I was working in Homebase Loudwater. (With the legendary Jamie "Beanhead" Redding for those who remember him). We had a massive delivery of promotional furniture and it was Mo Harkin unloading the lorry.
