Re: Random sightings of our players outside of football
The Attic was the archetypal sweaty bare bones club near the old snooker club and it was ‘kin brilliant. I didn’t quite realise at the time how lucky we were to have so many decent places to go of an evening back in the 90s.
Sorry if I split anyone’s drink during any Rage Against the Machine songs.
Re: Random sightings of our players outside of football
Had he just turned down a shit load of money to manage Notts Forest?
Re: Culture Corner
Yes, saw them at an all-dayer 5 or 6 years back. Can't remember much about them - more heavy 70s rock flavoured than I was expecting. Old-school psychedelia.
Re: Random sightings of our players outside of football
Not a player, but Martin O’Neill getting an absolute ear bashing off his wife in The Octagon shopping centre cafe, Carpenter’s Court.
He was bowing his head in the same way he did when being told off by a referee.
Re: Caleb Taylor returns until end of season..... Discuss
Morley is coming back permanently.... I still believe.
We will need to rotate centre backs between now and the end of the season so having Caleb, Bradley and Low allows this. Bradley has been solid but Caleb is much better at being able to travel with ball at feet and progressing us up the pitch.
I wouldn't be upset if we just looked to off-load Hartridge. He looks a complete liability whenever I see him play and just isn't good enough to be in a team challenging for promotion. Skura looks better already, although I do agree that we could really benefit by getting him out on loan somewhere in L2 where he could get a lot of game time as thats all he is really missing now from a development perspective.
Re: Random sightings of our players outside of football
Anyone old enough to have frequented The Orchard (guilty) would have bumped into half the squad most weekends. Can't exactly describe that as "random" though, they were always up there
Re: Random sightings of our players outside of football
I was describing that place to someone a while ago and they swore I was making it up.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
I thought Dan Scarr was quite good...scanning the Wrexham site they are blaming him in part for their Stevenage loss.
Another agent intent on our promotion?
