Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
Taylor came across as a decent affable bloke but the football was terrible. I enjoyed being relegated under Waddock more than I did his promotion. I believe Waddock eventually tried being less gung ho which was his downfall.
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
Would happily take a draw tonight. We always seem to struggle at home to Barnsley and they're very strong away from home. Not in anyway clear on what our line up will be either. Kone, who knows! Harvie, will he be fit? Ditto Udoh, especially relevant if no Kone. Will any of the new lads come in? Anyone correctly guessing the starting XI tonight will have done well.
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
@Shev yes, but it was worth it for @Blue_since_1990's '100mph' joke
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
Expect nothing less than King Kone to lead out the team in full attire including a cape and crown
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
You're right - I thought he'd gone off. Kodua to start in attack then.
Re: Other Football
Lewis-Skelly's ban rescinded. Good to see there's still some common sense about.
Re: Rumour Mill
i think we could have replaced Kone with the Nov 2024 version of the team with Morley’s creative skills.
He is an absolutely vital component of the Jan 2025 version as he brings an ever-increasing skill set with an ability to bring the unexpected that can’t easily be replaced and we really need if we want to win games against teams who come to defend.
The unknown in all of this is what the Feb 2025 version with the new players integrated into the squad/team will be like.
Hopefully we will find out with RK still leading the line…
I genuinely hope we do keep him however much is offered, as he is an absolute pleasure to watch. But personally I will be shocked if he is still with us after the window closes.
But if he does go I really wish him well. He has been a pure delight.
