We did so well earlier this season at getting midfield runners in behind, and we've struggled to do that recently.

Gawd, almost an Ainsworth style result. Barnsley goal was unfortunate, but it gave them something to hang on to. Their goalie has to be their man of the match.

We stuck at it, and I thought Udoh and Kone had them rattled throughout. Some very bizarre reffing decisions, but at least he had no choice with the Fred pen and the sending off, which looked bad even from the main stand with my dodgy eyesight.

We deserved the win,though we failed to turn the screw on the ten men.

Agent Revel did us a favour as well.

The only problem is a lot of teams seem to be finding form. Cambridge won't be an easy game.

A footnote - the Barnsley keeper, while having a stormer, obviously hadn't researched Kone's penalties. Went the same side again!

Has anyone else noticed how exaggeratedly frustrated the Barnsley goalkeeper gets at each one of his own kicks?

Yep, I'm sure he loves it here, I'm sure he owes us one etc.

But tripling your wages or better immediately versus what might happen in future is a tough ask to turn down.

Kone's interview certainly does not make it sound like he is going anywhere. Something along these lines.

"The people here are lovely. I love them, they love me. Keep coming, and hopefully we can get them that promotion."

Wrexham have 4 away games on the trot in Feb (and their away form is not good).

Whereas we play Cambridge, Crawley and Bristol Rovers back to back.
