Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
Ought to acknowledge kind intervention of two Birmingham City fans on our arrival by car yesterday about to park in nearby Bolton St on recommendation of a Birmingham-based contact. We had noted quite a bit of broken glass and they warned it showed what would happen if we left our car there. They directed us to some secure parking very close to the ground. Just £5 and like AP took 45 mins to leave, but car intact.

Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
I spoke to a Birmingham fan in the pub afterwards, and then two more at New Street. None of them thought it was a red card. A friend of mine watching on TV (Lincoln fan) also texted to say that it was never a red card. None of the people I was at the game with thought it was a red card when we watched a replay on the concourse screens at half time (including me). I am still yet to chat in-person to someone who thought it was a red
Re: MISSING: Have you seen two WWFC Danish footballers.
It is quite a bizarre situation to break the transfer record twice and both players can’t even get in the matchday squad. With Simon’s out for 3 games we’ll get an indication if Dodds rates Magnus as he should at least be on the bench.
Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
I think Birmingham have a squad right now that is good enough to be competitive in the Championship and I’m sure with the right recruitment in the summer they could be a force next season, especially with such fanatical support. They have some outstanding players and a good coach, reminds me of Ipswich a couple of years ago.
Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
Seriously @Midlander, you just tried to argue something else was the law?
Sometimes you have to acknowledge that maybe a player of the club you support made a bad challenge.

Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
I’m a Birmingham fan and I come in peace! Firstly I think it was a penalty (obviously 😊), but Laird’s dramatic and unnessesary rolling over and over was an embarrassment.
As for the game, we did our usual by failing to capitalise on our spells of domination, and based on your gritty much improved second half performance I think you possibly did enough to deserve a point from the game.
Good luck for the rest of the season. You’ve been a thorn in our side with your impressive results and performances, and a surprise to the rest of the division I think. And if you don’t go up now it will be a travesty. Keep the faith and hopefully we will see you in the Championship.

I thought they’d said everyone was fit

Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
I wasn't able to go to the game, but seeing the replay of the Simons red card made me think he's given the ref a decision to make.
You've seen worse tackles only given a yellow, though if it were the other way around we'd have been clamouring for a straight red.
Re: Match Day Thread: Birmingham
Late tackle, lunged in and missed the ball taking out their player while running at full speed half the length of the pitch.
Even with my bluest tint glasses on I think most referees would have given it as a red card.
