Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
Not talking about the Doc, but has there ever been a week where there's been such rage on here, and such different views?
Any gentle questioning about evidence, or suchlike being met like they'd admitted they were a Tory from Col Utd who quite likes Joey Barton.
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
It’s very much a gut feeling issue. So calls for evidence are bound to land badly - we’re not handing in dissertations here.
The blithe dismissal of concerns about the Danuard operation bemuse me in much the same way that their backers clearly find the reaction of the Bloom Club a bit OTT.
One thing it does lay to bed is the old rot about Gasroom cliques and not being able to have one’s say. It’s been a feisty couple of days but all views are here.
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
Also, my reading of the situation is that MB and DR were on very different pages with regards to recruitment and that ultimately created an impasse. If that was the case, it's not about 'fighting to keep' the manager.
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
What's wrong with what they said?
"The Club is naturally disappointed with Matt’s decision to leave in the middle of the season. However, we respect his decision to pursue this new chapter in his career. He leaves with the gratitude and best wishes of everyone at Wycombe Wanderers, and we thank him for his service to the club."
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
"The dominant lads on the gasroom were spot on saying i was pushed out"
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
1 It’s not the Wycombe way. And, fair enough, the new ownership might want to change that culture. But that culture is part of what makes us special and losing it makes at least some of us sad.
2 Bloomfield has been remarkably successful this year and based on that data the new ownership should be fighting to keep a promising young manager.
3 Even if they do want a different option, they could at least be pleasant about it and say something nice.
I don’t think it’s that hard to understand?
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
Either way, I am looking forward to Bloomfield's tell-all autobiography after he retires as England manager.

Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
And even that statement at face value implies they wouldn’t have been bothered if he had left during the summer.
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
I don't see why it's so outrageous that a club might not want someone (as has been claimed by our resident ITKs) who perhaps doesn't align with their approach. At the end of the day, the previous ownership handed over to a billionaire - they're going to want to do things their own way. 'But it's Matt Bloomfield' doesn't really cut it.
