Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw
Or just drive. £60 fuel for the 400 miles return. Travel time 7 hours door to door, instead of 11 hours by train.
Leave Wycombe at 9.30 to get to Preston for 1, grab some lunch and a couple of beers.
Leave after the game and be back home at least two hours before you would on the train.
Take two mates and split the cost of fuel and it’s £20!
Re: Squad strength - January 2025 transfer window

Re: Aaron Morley
Au contraire, mes amis.
I was hinting at the beautiful irony of the current multi-million pound investment in new players potentially disrupting the unprecedented success that we’ve all been enjoying, resulting in a temporary downturn in results sufficient to reduce the ultimate achievement from automatic to playoffs. I balanced that with the positive suggestion that the new players would have gelled sufficiently by the end of the season to be strong enough to win the playoffs.
Hope that explains it better.
Re: Rumour Mill
So are you 100% convinced that if the club had doubled, trebled the release clause and given Bloomfield an extra years extension to his contract, he still wouldn’t have gone to Luton. They wanted him, from all their research and I expect would have paid any release fee. They are ex Premier League and have plenty of money.
Re: Rumour Mill
Would it be normal to offer an extension when there was still 18 months to run on a contract? Yes, clearly sacked Mitchell but clearly Bloomfield was still involved in transfers eg. Bradley, phoned Paul Warne at Derby. Didn’t mention his name. Come on , we’ve only seen a handful of interviews from Rice and perhaps his name wasn’t mentioned. Hardly convincing evidence the relationship had broken down. Sorry not convinced by the ITKs , who have friend/ family members working at the club. Apparently they picked up the breakdown but can’t pick up the name of new manager. Perhaps they have selective hearing or actually not in the know. Perhaps Bloomfield wanted to move onto a bigger club, bigger fan base, bigger wages etc.
Re: New Manager Vote

Given Kone’s pivotal role in Wycombe’s promotion ambitions and the club’s strategic plans for sustainable growth, accepting a bid from Luton Town may not align with their objectives. Retaining a top scorer like Kone is crucial for maintaining their competitive edge and achieving long-term success.
