Re: Samaritans Score Prediction - Wigan (h)
It was quid a kid!
How come no-one saw 0-0 as the obvious result?

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
I have no problem with Dodds or the team he put out. We had the best of the game and more chances, but we did need more confidence in pushing forward against quite a dour team. Fred scores a worldy after his solo run and we are all happy and he's back on the wing next week.
Frustrating yes...but I was not bored.
Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
I literally did not mention Bloomfield until others brought him up. Dodds has nothing to do with the Bloomfield situation other than being the next to take up the same employment.
I'm literally trying to discuss current things like today's game, and being told to move on and grow up.

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
I'll explain - several on here thought it was a dull game and said so. We were then told to "move on" (from what? It's today's game) and "grow up".
In short: the same people who acted desperate to "move on" from Bloomfield then find a new issue to "move on" from when we try and talk about today's game. It's absolutely fine if you feel it was pulsating excitement - that's what debate is for! Acting superior and because you didn't find it dull and finger wagging those who did? Pompous.
Again, Dodds is the current head coach. It should be absolutely fine to say the football has been a little on the dull side so far. I very much want him to succeed, and he had nothing to do with the other thing people supposedly don't want to discuss but keep bringing up.

Re: Other Football
Birmingham draw with Reading and extend their unbeaten run. Would be very harsh on Reading to say Birmingham dropped two points, I think Reading had the better of the chances in the second half and both sides would have taken the result, and obviously we’ve got Reading still to come. But still, a win today for us allows us to chip away and with Wrexham playing tomorrow, a nice psychological advantage over them.
However, Birmingham picked up a number of injuries in that game and they looked leggy. They have Orient on Tuesday which is going to be tough, and then some tinpot club called ‘Little Wycombe’ four days later.
I’m still looking up as much as looking down. Please football Gods, shine your light on those famous quarters!!

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
You tried this on the last match thread.
I'm not defending some of the reactions...but can't you just give it up?
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Malachi Linton scored in a rare win for Weymouth today. Quite a few ex-Wanderers plying their trade in the NLS.
Re: Other Football
Incredible next 4 games against the teams 21st to 18th.
Leave that run of games without substantially cutting that 7 point gap to 5th bottom down and you really can't see them getting safe.

Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Dave Winfield scored for Welling today in a match that also featured Anthony Grant and a second debut for Scott Kashket.
I remember being so gutted when Big Dave opted to sign for Shrewsbury all those years ago.

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
Unfortunately, we classify a kid as eleven and under.
Glad to hear that it's not just me thinking that "it's some going"!
