Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Let me just sound my "Lubala is not a wide player" klaxon rather than bore people with the same post.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
What on earth was all the fighting in the home end about? Several punches thrown at their own supporters in the safe standing section. Barely a steward in sight. We've had horse punchers now we have stag punchers!
Seemed to come out of nowhere when McCleary scored.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
As we enjoy our summer repast, planning trips to Ewood Park and St Mary’s, we’ll look back on today as a vital part of our season.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Really really impressed with Sam Grace - his post match interview, the guy seems like the type who you would want to play for and he gave some refreshingly honest and open answers.
Grimmer was about to come off before the goal as he had tightened up, and he wasn’t 100% for today’s game.
Phil also asked him about Lubala and Harvie and again, he gave an honest answer.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Tremendous result. Really shows how united the players are after a tough week. Sonny again was magnificent. Would love to sign him at the end of the season.
Re: Man of the Match - Mansfield (A)
Interesting @BlueBoy. I deliberately avoided reading any of the preceding posts before voting and have just read yours before completing my catchup.
Re: Man of the Match - Mansfield (A)
Franco had no chance with that looping headed goal. It was perfectly reasonable I think, within the context of the immediately preceding passage of play, that he was a few yards out from the goal line.
Another very impressive performance and for me he just edges it ahead of several other heroic performances.
Re: Man of the Match - Mansfield (A)
I know young Gideon has done well coming in as cover at right back but I do hope we get another RB in on loan prior to the window closing.
Re: Today...
I’m struggling to come to terms with the fact that Fred has been with us for a decade, on and off.
Must go back to @Shev’s table to see where Fred sits. (That also took me by surprise - that sitting at table works in two such different contexts. The beauty of the English language.)
