Re: Rumour Mill
why don't you just be a Luton supporter as Blooms can do no wrong in your eyes!
Re: Rumour Mill
He captained us to the Champo for the only time in our history, left us in 2nd after managing us to perhaps the greatest half season of insane goalscoring in our history, and is literally at heightened risk of brain problems later in life because of injuries received in a Wycombe shirt.
It would take a lot for me to disrespect his Wycombe legend credentials. Bidding for Kone (who he brought to Wycombe in the first place) is hardly a crime against humanity, just good judgment for his current employers.
Re: Rumour Mill
Reading between some lines, and just downright speculating, the comments by Phil on Kone to Same Grace after the Mansfield game talked about how Kone was a development squad player - I wouldn't be wholly surprised if his "contract extension" was more a "upgrade to be considered a first-team player proper" after playing X number of games contract that also happened to be an extension (and likely increase in wage).

Blooms was kissing the badge on Thursday night and having an interview at Luton the next day,
Re: Rumour Mill
I don’t understand everyone suggesting Kone signed ‘a new deal’. It was worded clearly as a ‘contract extension’. That could be (and probably is) a totally different situation where the club has exercised their right to tick an optional box which extends his length with no impact on his pay.
Re: Rumour Mill
I would question why he signed a new contract in November if that was the case here. He signed to work for Wycombe Wanderers, not Matt Bloomfield. There are naturally circumstances when it would be appropriate to let him go (homesick, drastic change in company values etc) but none that I can see currently.
His value is highly unlikely to go down anytime soon so as I said before, no reason to sell for any price unless it’s really stupid money.
Re: New Manager Vote
Could we be the first club managed by an AI Bot? That could be the big reveal...
Though the scenes when it analyzes all football matches, ever, and bleeps "You know what? Possession can do one."
