Unsure what would be expected in the club statement. He has decided to walk away half way through the season when we were performing. It's pretty much dropped the club in the crap for a period.

It's expected they would be disappointed.

Have to say, I'm pretty disgusted from what I'm seeing/hearing. Heard from good sources that Rice is disliked within football generally and can now clearly see why.

absolutely embarrassing statement front he club and also comments from blooms were not great...he may have had a rift with Rice but not acknowledging his fans for over 20 years is awful...he is better than that

As a kid I knew a few Wycombe fans that also supported a top division side (from afar rather than attending matches). I show my age when that division was called 'Division One' and supporting Wycombe meant league games against Walthamstow, Windsor, St Albans and Croydon. It felt OK to do that as it was never likely their paths would cross. As a kid I picked Liverpool (because they were successful) but quickly grew out of that and developed a fondness for Wimbledon as you could look at them and imagine Wycombe doing something similar one day. Later I followed AFC Wimbledon (because of the MK disgrace) and again there was such a distance between them and us in terms of playing level that it seemed OK.
