Nailed on pen
Not a great pen from Kone, but the presence of mind to follow up the save and bury it to put us 1 up
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Bradley has been an absolute rock. Really appreciate his no nonsense style on away days like these. He never lets aerial balls bounce and wins his headers. We need to get Humphreys on the ball more. Bez having a frustrating game....
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Fred has been a nuisance after that terrible pass in the box in the opening minutes.
Kone superb as always, but he’s still having to come out wide to get the ball and you can sense his frustration.
Grimmer and Harvie have been superb and Bradley is superb. Skura solid, but a couple of poor passes almost got us unstuck.
Think Bez is playing well, but him having to cut inside is allowing Mansfield to re-set.
Cam with a couple of magical touches and Scowen almost took out half their team!
I think the positives out-weigh the negatives, and we’re not short of getting position in their third, it’s just finding that final through ball.
Not panicking yet, but an early goal would obviously be nice.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
I tell you what - Mansfield have impressed me over both games. Looks like they are a cutting edge away from being a few places higher. I could live with them winning the playoffs if we go up in the autos. Top man as manager too.
Re: Other Football
I’m at the game and it’s one of the most one sided games I’ve seen all season. PNE can’t get out their half.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Not the worst 45, Sonny Bradley seems very useful indeed, not sure he ends the season benched for others.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
tbf we have played well, not made the most of our opportunities
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Kone will have to punch their GK out cold. He gets sent off and they don't have a reserve keeper to put in goal.
Should just about give us the edge.
Re: Culture Corner
Magnificent. Although I was bollocked for fiddling around with the brightness settings and ruining the tension. They all had to be reset for the bright white of Severance.
Genuinely thought they’d cut straight to an advert after the fire.
On another note, I once saw Tim Robbins in the Canalhouse pub in Nottingham. We’d need Micra to verify, but he must’ve been 6’ 7” minimum.
