Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
Much more positive since our manager in waiting scored the equaliser against Man City, does that make it less likely? I lose track.
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
Yes, Altrincham. 2nd leg of the FA Trophy semi-final 81/82 season. Lost 3-0 at home after a 1-1 draw away.
That was before my time as a fan (Leytonstone/Ilford in '85 was my first game). Still miss that old ground though. Loved that place.
Re: Match Day Thread: Beaconsfield (Berks & Bucks Senior Cup)
Entertaining game, we dominated the second half and pressed hard, had numerous chances but the final pass and touch in the box wasn't quite there.
Re: Match Day Thread: Beaconsfield (Berks & Bucks Senior Cup)
Disappointing result and to fall at the first hurdle. Well done Beaconsfield. Let’s get this week over with!
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
Despite the disappointment, we've all eaten our words many times on here.
I'm reserving judgement until the end of the season when we either:
(a) get promoted and everything will be forgotten (Rice = hero)
(b) we make the playoffs and lose on a whimper, or miss out on the playoffs altogether. (Rice out)
On another note, as one of the genuinely nice guys in football, and of course a Wycombe legend, I hope this move works out for MB so he can show that he's a good manager. I think it's risky for Luton. He's unproven and not actually got much experience at all at that level, as a player or manager. Good luck Matt.
Re: Match Day Thread: Beaconsfield (Berks & Bucks Senior Cup)
Not to be disrespectful but under the circumstances I am struggling to even give a quater of a shit about this match....
