Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
This regime feel like the worst side of the business world to me - corporatespeak about "culture" on the surface, passive aggressive beneath it. To basically make Blooms so uncomfortable in the role and then be "disappointed" he has chosen to leave (and be willing for fans to potentially blame Blooms) sums it up.
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
Being asked to get excited about Wycombe achieving things under Dan Rice currently feels (to me) like being forced to adopt a robot and then get excited when it passes it's GCSEs.
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
I think the consequences will be felt when the teamsheet is announced at 2pm on Saturday.
I suspect the players are as upset as we are with Matt Bloomfield leaving the club. Probably more so. I wonder how many were speaking to their agents yesterday. I suspect some will be as equally keen to leave.

I didn't say you said that did I. Read and understand before replying.
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
Genuinely fascinating statement from Matt Bloomfield, far more revealing than any other I can remember. It seems those talking of disharmony in the club were absolutely right, though I maintain that Matt's career trajectory as a manager (particularly the cut-throat way he ditched Colchester for us when we came calling) suggests he may well have jumped ship when a Championship club swooped in, even if everything was sweet and harmonious between him and Dan Rice.
It'll be fascinating to see how quickly a successor is in place and what changes they make to the playing style - and whether there'll be time to bring in more players between now and the end of the transfer window if we're looking to play a different way. The suggestion earlier in this thread that Matt was blocked from picking players because the data said they weren't right for that match is noteworthy. I can't see many high profile coaches wanting to work under that sort of pressure - certainly not the Ashley Coles of this world.
This is a month in the club's history which books, plays, TV series should be based on. If only Rob Couhig had managed to get that deal of the ground with the streamers!
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
@bluntphil actually works there and is close to the (former) gaffer...perhaps you should direct your questions to him. Otherwise it just looks like you grinding the same old axe.
